Apparently this game has a lot more crazy in it than I thought because I encountered a weird screen.I was playing as Gish in the Forest stage looking for bandages. I got to one of the later stages, "Altamont" I think it's called, when a screen popped up. It said "In the year 21XX" with Meat Boy center screen wearing an eye-patch and a black suit. Nothing happened before or after I beat the stage (without dying I might add). I checked a bunch of stuff like characters and replays but nothing had changed.
 
Does anyone know what happened? Or what the screen means? Is it just another gag in a game full of crazy?

I got a similar thing in 1-2 just once randomly.  Same eye patch Meat Boy, but no suit that I remember.  It said something like 'head to somethingsomething' but I missed it.

Well the Meatboy looks kinda like a Ninja in that and the way it's saying "20XX" makes me think of the old NES games and how every game was set in some stupid date like 19XX or just 2XXX. Also one of the character shadows for getting I think like 70 bandages kinda looks like the outline of a ninja. Maybe it's a hint of that character you unlock.

That's the character that unlocked when I got the 100% achievement. The leaderboard is disabled when you use him.

Well, I know he can teleport past razorblades. He doesn't do it automatically though, you have to press the run button right as you're about to hit it. I haven't tried teleporting past anything else yet, maybe it also works with spikes, bullets, etc. as well.
 
Edit: I just tested him out a bit more, and he can teleport through both missiles and bullets. It probably works on anything that kills you when you touch it. Timing's pretty strict, though.

This game seems very good at throwing lots of confusing little secrets at players.

I was just sitting here playing Chapter 1 going for the Iron Boy achievement and hammering A through all the load and replay screens, and I SWEAR TO GOD I saw Meat Boy with an eyepatch for a quarter of a second. Googling it brought me here. Good to know I'm not insane!
