 Help, MS's October points offer says 'can't be combined with other offers' does this include Super Meat Boys 800 entry price?

Kind of annoying and has put a dent in my plans to get the offer.

Dude! I was totally planning on buying it for the October points thing. This is horribly lame.

Well, that sucks - was going to get it on Steam anyway as I'm away from my 360 at the time being but still, I bet a lot of people had that in mind originally

Seems odd that they would disallow a pretty clear cut refund on something so nebulous.  Maybe you should ask them again more clearly?  Like 'does the 800 points of Super Meat Boy count towards the 2400MS points in Oct refund?'

The wording on the Microsoft offer seems pretty clear about not being able to count points spent on "on offer games" (which Super Meat Boy currently is) towards the 2400 points total. I'd suggest talking to Microsoft about this though, as they'll likely be better informed about their own offer than Team Meat.

I tried to tweet Major Nelson but his last activity was 8 hours ago.  
  
I asked the Super Meat Boy Team again:
 Sory sum people r confused by how I wrded the question, does 800points Super Meat Boy count towards the 2400points Oct refund?

Well that's great news, I'm really glad MS didn't end up screwing people over at the eleventh hour.

So has anybody spent their hard-earned points yet? Did you get your 800 points back? Did you successfully use those 800 points on Super Meat Boy?

Stupid. that totally ruins my plans. I was still planning on getting Costume Quest. Maybe I should get Sonic 4? There are the new Dead Rising 2 packs as well.....hmmm

Impossible. The points will be distributed late November - probably after the SMB price goes up to 1200. Took slightly more than a month and a half to get my Summer of Arcade points back, don't think this will be any quicker. "
