Super Meat Boy Hits PC This Month, Wii Version Delayed
" Hopfully the pc version has xbox controller support "It does. The SMB steam page says so.
" @Aeterna: Something tells me the PC version will play a little something like this. "I hope not, the flashgame feels pretty weird imo.. but I'm confident it will feel just fine.
Oddly enough, this is my new most anticipated game of the year since GT5 was delayed. Hopefully I can preload this so I can wake up and get straight to the fun when it comes out.
39 MB? That's a pretty crazy restriction. Man that little white box is falling REALLY far behind these days.
A retail version makes a lot more sense to the wii, you wouldn't have to sacrifice anything but resolution that way, and it's a pretty long game as it is, if you play as poorly I as do, at least.
" Playing this game with arrow keys and spacebar? Noooooo thank you. "better than playing it with a god awful xbox d-pad. original meat boy was a flash game
I can't imagine trying to get through the dark world levels with a keyboard. I know that the super hardcore flash game players would disagree, though.
" Can Wii owners even stomach hard games? Also, does that question make me racist? "The Wii comes in white, black, and red. It knows no racial boundaries. So no, you're only a bigot. Rest easy friend. :)
Also the Bit.Trip franchise seems to be doing fine for Gaijin. They're finally porting to Steam as well, but WiiWare has sustained them for a while now. And I chose to buy Megaman 9 and 10 on Wii because fuck those achievements. :P
You can always plug in a controller of your choice.. a lot of people (I'm not saying you, though) seem to assume the only way to play games on the PC is by using a mouse and/or a keyboard." I can't imagine trying to get through the dark world levels with a keyboard. I know that the super hardcore flash game players would disagree, though. "
And you can also connect your PC to your TV, if you want to play on your couch with a higher resolution than consoles can offer right now.. just saying. :)
" I wonder if early XBLA buyers will receive the level-editor that comes with the Steam version. "hThe level editor is PC exclusive. They said that they wanted to do it across all platforms, but there were too many complications in getting servers & whatnot for user generated content on the 360 version. They will be adding the best user created levels to the 360 version via "teh internets" though.

" Is there a reason this isn't on PSN? I've already purchased it on XBLA, I'm just curious why it's not coming to the PS3. "They built early versions of the game on PS3, 360, Wii and PC. They sent early builds to MS, Sony and Nintendo, and Sony were taking far too long to reply to them, so they scrapped the PSN version.

" @Aeterna: Something tells me the PC version will play a little something like this. "cept that one doesn't use a run button.
