http://twitter.com/SuperMeatBoy/status/3356752753987584 Notice that some of the characters from the xbox version is missing, the new PC exclusive characters replace them. So no Gish on the PC. ;_; Can anyone make out anything from the silhouettes?

They teased on their blog the other day "a one of them sticks, one of them dashes, one of them changes form and one of them isn't organic". The "one of them sticks" part makes me think that one of the characters will essentially be a re-skinned Gish.

That was before they revealed Josef, the robot. He is the Non-organic one. So, the four silhouettes most likely depict three characters, because one changes shape.

I would imagine, but I assume he would have to be given the ability to jump as well. I don't know how I feel about that. "
I bet it would be really useful in some spots, but also really frustrating, cause if he can just shoot up and he misses his mark he flies off the map and dies

World of Goo ball, surely? But yeah, would not make sense to have more than a slightly cosmetic change for some of the characters due to the work involved in balancing things. Still wish that they'd managed to get the dude from cave story... Sucks that the dev turned the request down.
Find it weird that Gish won't be there though - wasn't that originally a PC game?
Now this would make my day. I also kinda wish they also added Knytt from Knytt stories, but would be stoked if it was at least that sphere guy. Forgot his name. Love Nifflas work.

Get yourself a gamepad.. about 4 € for a crappy one with a d-pad over here. Of course you can also use a PS3 or 360 gamepad, if you've got one of these.

" There a good chance this'll be cheap for the Christmas sale? >.> "
I doubt it. When talking about why they did the $10 rising to $15 thing on XBLA Team Meat said that they did it because they originally wanted to do a big sale at Christmas, but they decided it would screw over all of the early adopters who paid full price just months before, so they decided to do the $10 sale on launch. They have said that it will be on sale for preorder on PC to be fair, but they haven't specified price, but it's pretty safe to assume that it will be $10 for preorder rising to $15 at launch. But assuming they keep to their "don't screw over early purchasers" ideology, it won't be on sale at Christmas.

A Goo makes the most sense because I believe that perfectly fits the vital role that gish played. I love how Minecraft, VVVVVV, and Machinarium are represented. And yes there is a Steam-exclusive headcrab you can play as which is most likely that thing to the right of Josef from Machinarium.

Awesome right? Apparently if you preorder off anywhere other than steam, you get a Goo Ball from World of Goo instead of the Headcrab. Sucks that we have to choose but still, totally understand why that would be the case and it's still great regardless.

Sweet! Headcrabs!
@KaosAngel
Also, the Steam version will have a 33% sale in the beginning
Those of you wondering, the Steam version of Super Meat Boy's official release date is Nov. 30th (as you can see from the countdown above) and be priced at $15... BUT!
As a gift to fans we will be taking preorders on Steam starting the 23rd at 33% off ($10). So much like our XBLA release SMB fans will get a early buy discount.
also, this quote was pretty good.
We LOVE Steam...like...a lot. MS is the hot chick you hook up with, Steam is the girl you spend your life with
