When to say "when"?

Maybe I haven't played a lot of games that I'm not sure I'm good enough (or have the time/patience to get good enough at) but I just finished the Light World last night and I really don't know how far I want to take it.  I kinda want to get 50 bandages, or beat the dark world, but I'm not sure.  I'm in love with the play control though, so I think my time with this one isn't over yet.

Anyone else having a hard time figuring out where your personal 'end' of this game will be?  Brad said that he had had enough after the Light World completion, and I can see why, but then I went back to the dark world for the forest and ripped through it and now I feel the pull of all that stuff I didn't do.

Trust me you'll be back. So too will Brad. And so too will the reader of this post. Just as you get out, Super Meat Boy pulls you back in...

Fix'd.
Also: Our true enemy, has yet, to reveal himself.

Give it up! For Michael Corleone, but moreso, Silvio Dante.

I'll shut up now.

Unless you've 100%'d it...

Yeah, I feel like I'll keep going back to the game until there is 100% completion or I'm dead. I only play it in short bursts though, got to try and cling to some sanity.

Yeah, I can see how this descent into insanity is going to happen one bandage, one par time, one dark world at a time...

I'm gonna keep at it, I just have no designs on ever unlocking the kid from I want to be the guy. WTF that level is bullshit.

Am I doing this wrong by trying to A+ every level right away, and then A+'ing every dark world level after I finish the chapter?

I feel like I'm having less fun, but I know if I don't do it now I'll never go back to it.

I can't stop playing a level until I get everything in it. There's only a few that I've skipped, but I don't move on to another chapter until I get 100% on the one I'm playing.

There's still the "Internets" chapter.

I said "when" as soon as I discovered that the game was just another side-scroller.

I finished the light world and said I was done with it, then I went and got the kid since I didn't have him yet, then I got 50 bandages, then I did cotton lane... now i've done about 80 dark world levels and par timed most of the light world. Even if its just in short bursts its a game that compels you to get 100%

I quit after realizing that getting the last 7 bandages I needed and beating Cotton Alley would strain the limits of my psyche.

No one has posted the "never" image yet?

Getting all the achievements was the end for me.

I finished the light world while doing about 60% of the dark worlds.  Then did some warps, internet levels, about half of cotton alley.  That felt like a good place to stop.  The trial and error bit started to get tedious and un-fun for me.  I might be back later just because the controls feel so good.

Quit when is stops being fun.

My situation almost exactly.

As soon as I stopped getting an equal amount of reward for my effort, I stopped playing. I felt like each additional bandage was just too much work over the last.

I hate everyone in this thread for having the ability to play this game when I can't

When I play it I want to 100% it.  I am so f*cking ready to wrestle this titan now. Bring it meat boy, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRHH!
