It really worries me when no one mentions Lufia 2. It's like the majority of the human race hasn't bothered playing such an amazing game.

I thought everyone knew what the great Super Nintendo games were by now? It's not like it's an obscure system.

Anything from egg's link is worth a buy. Almost every game in the top 50 deserves to be there. My favorite SNES games are Super Mario World, Doknkey Kong Country, and Secret of Mana. I never played Earthbound and since Nintendo won't ever rerelease it I guess I never will.

I want to put my backing behind Super Metroid as well. It's worth the price.

Earthbound is amazing, but I have a more difficult time justifying the cost.

You should probably just start with Super Mario World.

Nope. DKC 2 > DKC >>> DKC3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DK64

DKC:R would be up there if not for the required waggle. But DKC2 is the king of those games. From level designs, music, and difficulty. Just a superb game.

This Earthbound looks pretty cheap.

Seriously though, I highly recommend Earthbound if you can find it for an acceptable price. I also really enjoyed the Breath of Fire games on SNES, and as mentioned by others, Chrono Trigger. Secret of Mana is great too. Oh...and Super Mario RPG. I have no idea how hard/easy it is to find copies of any of those.
