Better than the original
Adjectives, to think that only by adding these, Scribblenauts will become ten times more awesome.
I recieved the game into my welcoming hands and since I started playing, I may honestly say, I couldn't stop at will.
But let's start from the beggining.
Scribblenauts is a puzzle platformer in which your goal is to go through several missions by using whatever item comes to your mind, earning starites (sounds pretty much like mario?) ands ollars, which is, you guessed it, currency, we'll get to what exactly can you buy with these later on.
So now that you know the basics, how does scribblenauts exactly works? I'll demonstrate with a quick example.
Let's say there's this guy, who needs to cross a lava lake. Basically, it's easier than it's sounds, all you have to do is think of whatever comes to your mind to help him cross it, let's say, making him drink a fire proof potion to make him resistant to the boiling material, and than giving him a snorkel so that he will swim safely to the other side, though, that's only one solution, you could make him ride an invincible dolphin, give him wings, and perhaps freeze the lava with a freeze gun.. I guess that might work..? (Note to self, try that next time).
Done with that? great, you can proceed, OR, you can try a challange mode to earn yourself a gold ranking (Basically you have to do the same task 3 times in a row while not using the previous words you used.), I seriously recommend doing so, actually, I wish you could go even higher in ranks, like, doing the task another 3 times in a row using a different vocabulary grants you a platinum something or so... anyway, that's just my thoughts.
Now, currency, what is it for? Maxwell (the character) appears in not one shape! oh no, he has plenty of costumes, all of them he can purchase with ollars, how does this affect the game? it does not, but you look hotter, I havn't tried spending time in the level creator, but I think you can use ollars to purchase some stuff there too.
To sum it all up in a few words, After summoning thousands of invincible rideable firebreathing strong armed giant *insert ordinary object here* repeatedly, Scribblenauts loses a little bit of it's charm, but it's the freedom to create whatever that makes this game so unique and the specific tasks that limit you to just a certain group of objects that makes your way of thinking develop, I assure you, when you're done playing a level using a creative solution, you will have a smile across your face, for you will feel thrilled.
