The mushroom kindgdoms best princess (Peach is so outdated) is the next brand new character coming to smash on the wiiu. I personally did not want any other character more but never actually expected her to be in the game. She looks super fun to play as well and the comet observatory stage is amazing. Don't really care about Rosalina as a character, but her move set looks really fun.

Reminds me of puppeteer characters from more traditional fighting games, or stands from JoJo.

I'm excited to kick her ass with Wii Fit lady. (Actually this will be my first Smash Brothers game, so I probably won't be doing a lot of ass-kickin'.)

These kinds of characters are usually a little harder to master, see Blazblue and Carl Clover. Definitely looks interesting.

Was hoping for Paper Mario as a new Mario rep. Well, unless they want to go crazy on the Mario reps that's not happening now. Oh well, Rosalina makes sense for a 5th Mario rep.

I like this addition. Rosalina is cool and the Luma element makes her look like a strategic character, like Olimar. And about time a new character got revealed, wondering how many new characters will be revealed for this Smash Bros?

On topic: Rosalina is the best princess and her moves seem super cool, looking to match the ice climbers. I do have a question, how well do you think the 3ds version will hold up? Looking at that game play, it looks reallly good, not sure if the 3ds can do that. Also, fighters on handhelds... are those a thing? The only thing nintendo i see myself buying is the 3ds, and the only reason i bought the wii was for smash bros. Since smb is coming out for the 3ds, as long as it does not lag far behind the wii u version (feature wise and quality), then great but I have no clue what the odds are of that.

Mann. Between this and Hyrule Musuo, I suddenly really want a WiiU. Up until today I was just pissed off that I'd eventually have to buy one for Bayonetta 2.

Her moveset looks fun and interestinng. She looks like the kind of character I'd main for a while. Pretty glad I have a 3DS now as I won't be getting a Wii U for quite a while (if I get one). As others have said before I just hope the 3DS version is good.

didn't smash bros brawl come out 3 months after Galaxy and it felt super odd nothing from galaxy in it now it's 5 years later and it's like "uhhhhh thanks for coming in late." And she was also a hidden character in Kart for Wii which was also 3 months later..... The timing of Smash Bros games is so late, next thing you know Rhythm Heaven is next to be announced.

@crithon: She's become something of a mainstay lately, showing up in Karts and Parties, and whatnot -- not to mention Super Mario 3D World. At this point she's just another Mario regular. But yes, late to the party. Hopefully the Ice Climbers show back up to make her feel less awkward.

God I love the Mario Galaxy soundtrack. Gusty Gardens is easily one of the best Mario themes.

I just hope the game is more balanced than Brawl. Half the players in any given Brawl tournament are running Metaknight, and the other half Diddy Kong as a counter to Metaknight. Boring!

Rosalina seems like a pretty interesting and unique character to play. However, I was really distracted by how COMPLETELY CRAZY Donkey Kong looks with his new HD hair tech.
