a game with amazing control and unlimted replay value
Note: I consider myself to be at a ‘close to pro’ player at this game. But also take note that I was originally a ‘noob’ at this game, and this game is fun at an armature and pro level….and the way to becoming a considerably good player can be most rewarding.
Super Smash Bros Melee to me is perfection in a video game. I consider it the best game ever made and the best in the series. You may not agree with me but I have many reasons to why this is, and Ill share a few in this review.
The Smash Bros games have always been great games always bringing many hours of reply value and winner of most of my hours playing any game. I also made some of my best friends by playing this game. And wouldn’t you know that the second in the series would be the best out of the three!
It’s hard to exactly say in words why this game is the best but ill try my best in this list….
1: Each character is balanced meaning there’s no over powered characters in the list….Everything is completely fair and depends on the player’s skill alone.
2: You’re free to do what you want in the stages….you have total control over every character. And if you input a precise stick or button move…..your character will do that precise move. You have the complete and total control all the time.
3: Control over the game its self. What other game lets you change the way the game is played?! You can change items or the size of your character or even be invisible! Because at tournaments your not allowed to use items I don’t play with these settings to much anymore…but from time to time I bust items out with my buddies for some lmao fun!
4: Combos….OMG….COMBOS!!!!….once you play the game, a lot, you will discover all kinds of crazy combos which really make the game go beyond perfect. And these combos aren’t just simple button presses…… like ‘Mortal Combat’ or ‘Soul Caliber’, (Not that those games aren’t any good, but I believe that this way of playing is much more fun and rewarding)…..which lead to your character doing a pre-rendered attack sequence….No you have to continue the combo on your own…getting under and hitting your character up and the pounding them back down before they can recover. And once you get accustomed to the physics you can create amazing and unbreakable combos that will leave the person sitting next to you in awe and at the same time frustrated ^_^
5: Advanced techniques…..with out a doubt this is why I continue to play this game…Once you learn and master these techniques such as: WaveDashing, L-cancel, DashDancing, Edge teching, you will be like “can this game get any better!?!”…It really adds a new layer to this already great game!!!
6: The people you play with.....The game is a multiplayer game and is meant to be played with other people….and 4-stocking someone and then seeing there face is always priceless…..especially when they gloat, before you play, saying that they’ll kick your but ( I wont swear lol). The great thing is after this owning and realization that player will want to get better and learn all they can to beat you….You can almost consider this game to be a hobby and can become very competitive…
In conclusion….Super Smash Bros melee an amazing game and deserves all the praise. Because we need more great games like this…that have amazing gameplay and limitless replay value and most of all, FUN!
Now after reading this you may think I have no life…since I’m so interested in this game…Well sorry but I do....its just this game is that great and you’ll do your self a great harm by not at least playing this game once. Especially since the newer games that are coming out don’t seem to be any great.... cough, cough wii music....cough, couch XD
