It's really hard to call. All I remember from Super Street Fighter was that it had crazy animation stuff goin on. Some of that was dumb, but some of it was cool.
If the announcer counts as interface (which it KIND OF does) then I'm sayin Super Street.
The big difference for me would have to be the character select screen, thats why the original gets it for me. I hate the layout of the SSIV character select, even though I play it a lot I almost never know where 90% of the characters are.
The SFIV red on black theme for character select, world map and VS intros etc was great. Impact and elegance both.
I hate how in SSFIV you go from a colourful world map to the VS screen flames. It just seems like some parts were redone and others just copy/pasted. It smacks of laziness at worst but at least inconsistent art direction.
The only thing I really noticed when I popped SSF4 in was that there seems to be too much empty space at the character select screen. There are more characters, yes, but I think they could have made their icons a bit larger and easier to see!
I easily prefer Super SFIV. Besides, it added two of my favorite characters in the games, Juri and Dudley. Too bad they took out the Survival mode in that one though.
