    I've finally gotten round to finishing/ordering the new artwork for my TE, but I really don't want the turbo panel cluttering up the aesthetic.
     
    Is it a pretty simple job to remove, and will it always be set to 'd-pad' as opposed to left or right stick?

    Well, the guide button is also there, or home button on PS3...You kinda need that so you'd need to install another button or wire it to another.

    @lordofultima:  Yeah, I hadn't thought about that.  
     
    I usually have a pad on the go at the same time, though, and you don't need it to actually install the hardware, so is it beneficial or just convenient?

    @GetEveryone: I suppose it'd be fine, but swapping controllers around would be an awful inconvenience. Especially on Xbox, considering I check the guide button every 10 minutes or something like that.
