So I've made the decision that I'm buying this game. It'll be my first Street Fighter ever, and one of my first fighting games. With the new characters supposedly coming in June should I wait all the way until then?

I would get it now. It is pretty fun but be ready for a steep learning curve. It takes a lot of practice before you can even remotely be competitive. But figuring out all the little nuances of each character is half the fun! 

I say wait and see if Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be a disc release or DLC.  If it's a disc, wait for AE.  If it's DLC for Super, then get Super immediately as it's one of the best fighting games ever.

Buy it now get practice in and then when eaither the dlc or the new disk hits buy that. O and hit an arcade close to you if you have one.

Depends on the price you can get it for.

Buy it now and start on the lowest difficulty and build up, try and make progress in mission mode with characters that you like and try and play with local friends if possible before hitting online!

Get the game now. You are going to need the practice if you want to be any good. It's going to take a LOT of time. You don't want to be starting on the ground floor when AE comes out.

I think it would be best to wait for Arcade Edition to come to consoles (I think officially it comes some time in June).
 
Personally, I think they will release it as both DLC and on Disc, kind of like for RE5. I think you'd end up with a better deal if you got a disc version of AE.

I bought it a few months back, it was also my first fighting game.  
Be ready to die, Alot. 
It's alot of fun though, worth every second. 
Be sure to take a look at the starter's guide on the forums, there's ALOT of useful information in it.

I say get Super now.  It's impossible to learn a fighting game from just watching videos and reading guides.  You need to feel the game out through playing it, not thinking about it.

I've been thinking the same thing too . I wonder if the online is any good 

As has been stated, waiting to see exactly how Arcade Edition is going to be distributed would be best.
