A reporter for a news-outlet, whether it be as a writer or photographer.
It's arguably the one move that symbolizes the medium to those outside it. The ability to jump, be it onto a building, a platform, or a skull, is one of the all time most important abilities ever put in a video game.
Some characters are considered to be the only surviving member, usually of its species, but it could be used for other things like abilities (a planet could have one person left who can perform magic, etc.). Sometimes they quest to find other members.
The small models within the Lego franchise which represent people. They appear almost in every Lego game.

The speed blur effect is typically used in racing games. It consists of the edges of the screen, or any object in the world blurring as the player moves quickly.
The strategy of demonstrating how awesome something is by putting the word "super" in its title. Incredibly popular among developers making games for the Super Nintendo, which itself counts as an example.
Commonly found in fighting games, a super meter increases when either a character takes or gives damage (depending on the game). There are many variations on the super meter, depending on the franchise or game.
Super Speed is the ability for a character to travel at speeds normally unattainable by regular humans. Super speed can be a stock super power by characters such as the Flash & Sonic the Hedgehog, or a technologically enhanced ability like Nomad in Crysis.
Strength beyond normal human bounds, i.e. lifting cars, bending metals, shattering a street with one's fist.
A superhero is a fictional character of unprecedented physical prowess dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest.
Games featuring characters which posses superhuman abilities and powers.
Throwing weapons include knives, shurikens, axes, darts or even explosives such as grenades and molotov cocktails.
Games whose main character is so egotistical that the whole game just HAS to be named after them.
