The largest weapon in modern militrary arsenals. Use missiles, rockets and deck guns as defense weapons and can carry hundreds of combat ready planes and bombers as well as thousands of combat ready Marines. They are known as "Cities at Sea".
An airplane is a heavier-than-air craft whose lift is generated by airflow over the wings creating a strong pressure difference. In video games, airplanes are used for travel and as a type of weaponry.
An emplacement gun used to shoot down enemy aircraft.
A bomb is an explosive device.
The Command Center is the core of a Terran outpost. It produces SCVs and recieves minerals and vespene gas. Can be upgraded to an Orbital Command or a Planetary Fortress for various bonuses.
A dropship usually refers to a ship that ferries troops, heavy armor, and supplies from carriers in orbit to a planet's surface. Sometimes it refers to any futuristic in-atmosphere transport that is not a helicopter or airplane.
Considered one of the most frequent and controversial implements of destruction in video games and real life, guns are devices that fire projectiles with explosive force.
Gun Boat
A laser is a focused beam of light, invisible through the air without some other medium (such as smoke) to illuminate it. Lasers are often used in video games as part of a targeting system, or as an offensive weapon in their own right.
Mechs (or Mecha) are humanoid-like pilot driven vehicles often depicted in media as a combat machine. Early examples of Mech/Mecha in video games are often derived from early manga and anime as well as table-top games.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a rocket engine designed to blow an object to smithereens. A missile is often guided, in some way, to its target. For example; by laser, remote control, or computer/GPS.
A nuclear bomb is a device made up of fissionable materials (ie Uranium) and standard explosives. It creates a nuclear chain reaction, which release large amounts of radiation and a shockwave.
A mechanical lifeform, typically exhibiting superhuman abilities, that can be found in games as either the main protaganist or as powerful enemies or allies.
Self propelled guns are artillery pieces that have engines to make themselves move. In many cases they are fully enclosed and to the untrained observer appear to be tanks.
A spaceship is a vehicle capable of traversing the vacuum of space.
Mechanical device on legs which can have a will of its own, or be guided by others. It need not be limited to the ground, though, despite its having legs.
Underwater Vessel that first appeared in the late 1800's.
When your robot comes from your grandfather's basement, performs impossible transformations, is more powerful than an entire nation's military or otherwise kicks reason to the curb, it's more than a mech; it's a Super Robot.
A tank is generally a heavily armoured and armed, tracked vehicle designed to be at the front of a combined forces attack.
