I'm a Swede, but you know, my mother didn't bother to teach me the language when I was a kid, because she thought it would make it harder for me to learn English. I thought that was a pretty good choice.

Meh, english aren't paticular dificult too lerning. Teaching you both languages surely would've created some form of mutant though.

I'm not Swedish, but I would love to learn the language. I've studied various languages, and I always wanted to get in touch with my Scandinavian roots by learning Swedish (or at least attempting to). If any of you have any tips, please feel free to share them.

You should check out the Mastering Swedish soundfiles, you can download em all here on Slay Radio. Its hilarious stuff, and you might learn something.
