I like what Starbreeze did on The Darkness and the Butcher Bay...curious to see if they they can do justice to Syndicate, one of the all time greats.
Syndicate
The Syndicate franchise is set in a dystopian future where mega-corporations called syndicates have altogether replaced the government, and enforce their rule with merciless, cybernetically-enhanced soldiers known as Agents.
Three More Syndicate Trademarks Appear
I twill be at least interesting to see how fans of the original act when the first trailers and gameplay are shown. Wonder how it will compare to the XCOM remake.
Time to preheat the charbroiler. I can only expect a first or third person action title from Starbreeze which isn't really what I want out of a Syndicate game but they have good form so I doubt it'll suck.
I remember playing the HECK out of this game back in the days... such good memories! Setting up huge enemy killing explosions were fantastic fun. I hope this comes out!
I remember playing this game back in the day, but how it was more than a little confusing...
I do remember this however:
tothetop
wink, wink... :)
OMGOMGOMG.. I LOVED Syndicate on the Amiga. Nothing more satisfying that levelling buildings with the Gauss Gun and mowing down bystanders with the minigun. I really hope they can do this justice.
Guy with the first comment said he played it on his PSP. I know there was a Playstation One version I wonder if that was what he was talking about. Other than "next version of a series started by the guy who made fable and populaus" i don't know if there are enough people around still who remember this game fondly enough to get a million units sold.. maybe there will be a hook we haven't seen yet.
