Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

Game » consists of 5 releases. Released Nov 11, 2010

A PSP rebuilding of the classic Super Famicom title, it was never localized for the North American market. The game preserves the original graphical style, but a new 3D engine allows for crisp visuals and a better view of the battlefield.

So what happened with that quick look?

On the one hand, turn based tactics games probably don't make for the most exciting of quick looks.  On the other hand, it'd be interesting to see Ryan trying to tackle the game.

Want it. Bumping for interest. This looks like a fantastic relic of a foregone era, more than worth the time to explore.

I loved Tactics Ogre (Ogre Battle) on the SNES, it was an amazing game. Love to see a Quicklook of what's changed.

Played through chapter 1 and liking it so far, which probably isn't saying much? Also, I was surprised by the day one digital release on the European PSN.

@Chris2KLee If Jeremy Parish over at 1Up is to be believed: slight graphical tweaks, Chariot system (50 turn rollback), ressurection consumables, and... I can't remember.

I'm having a ton of fun with it so far. I have a truckload of portable strategy RPGs I have not finished, so I was not sure I wanted to grab this but I am glad I did.

Really polished with a lot of smart changes such as leveling the class instead of the character, Valkyria Chronicles style. The Chariot system is awesome for when I do something stupid or just want to experiment. Being able to step back 50 actions is cool and it is not just a fancy undo button it actually branches, so if you jump back 3 actions a do some new actions and then decide you want to go back to your original path of actions you can do that.

Hope this game has not defeated Ryan even before the Quicklook.
