Background
An ancient river demon resembling a giant catfish, Tahm Kench reigns over the waterways of Runeterra. Dressed in a fancy, if a tad makeshift attire, he bargains with the wayward souls who cross his realm to satisfy his insatiable appetite. Yet, what they don't know is that Kench's delicate taste lusts primarily for the dispair of his victims, savoring every bit of their misery.
Overview
With a thick skin that regenerates lost health over time and doubles as a shield, Tahm Kench is an excellent front-line support champion to interrupt and distract his opponents in skirmishes. Additionally, his strong dueling makes him a solid pick as a sturdy top laner that can deal surprising amounts of damage. His defining characteristic however is his ability to devour allies (and enemies), temporarily protecting them from harm and carrying them to safety which make him an ideal choice against teams trying to assassinate fragile teammates.
Abilities
An Acquired Taste (Passive): Basic attacks and damaging abilities against enemy champions deal bonus damage based on Tahm's maximum health and build up stacks of An Acquired Taste. At three stacks, Tahm Kench's Tongue Lash and Devour have additional effects.
Tongue Lash: After a brief cast time, Tahm Kench lashes his long tongue into a direction, damaging and slowing the first enemy hit. If the target is affected by Kench's passive, it is stunned instead of slowed. By activating Devour during the animation, Kench can eat enemy minions and neutral monsters hit by his tonge.
Devour/Regurgitate: Tahm Kench swallows an enemy minion, monster or allied champion, making them untargetable and incapacitated for the duration. He can also swallow an enemy champion with the An Acquired Taste debuff, suppressing them and greatly reducing their vision. An allied champion in Kench's belly increases his movement speed while devouring an opponent massively reduces it. Regurgitate spits out his target, dealing damage if they are enemies and also colliding with other enemies to deal additional damage.
Thick Skin: Passively, part of the damage received is stored as a grey health bar. When the ability is not on cooldown and Tahm Kench has not been hit for a while, a portion of his grey health will start to rapidly regenerate. Thick Skin can also be activated to turn all current grey health into a temporary shield.
Abyssal Voyage: When activated, Tahm Kench channels the ability, highlighting an area he wants to teleport to while opening his jaws. If an ally decides to jump into Kench's mouth or when he reactivates the ability, he and his passenger quickly travel to the target location.
