    Overview

    Tak Fujii started as an employee at Konami in 1997. Fujii was initially an audio director which included work in voice over direction and localization of games for different regions. In 2008, he became an associate producer at Konami. Then, in 2009, he became a manager and producer.

    Fujii received recognition and attention on many gaming websites and message boards after his presentation for Ninety-Nine Nights II at Konami's E3 press conference in 2010. Fujii's enthusiasm, humor, and Broken English during his presentation were appreciated by many people watching, and he became a target of meme culture on the internet.

    Sometime after this Fuji developed cancer and left Konami in 2014. This resulted in the loss of his iconic dredlock hairdo. Fujii joined DMM Games in 2015 as an executive producer, according to his LinkedIn profile; producing VR games for mobile platforms and Gal Metal for Nintendo Switch.
