Schweet as always. Past trailers here (watch them, they have different schweet scenes, click it)...

It goes on sale in Japan in a month I guess. Good for them! Now wait for the European release...

It looks nice enough, I prefer the third though, it better showcase the games beauty, this one's a bit Anime cut scene heavy.

The theme track is from BoA.

Highest score for a Tales game ever alongside Tales of the Abyss. That said others like Vesperia are pretty close (35/40).

The other high scoring game is Winning Eleven Play Maker or something like that.

Famitsu is still completely random and should be ignored.

Why do you say that? The last Wii game sold very well, even though it was just a spin off. This is a mainline game, it should do at least as good. Why do you think this sequel is on Wii? The mainline 360 game (Vesperia) with the HD costs did only marginally better than the Wii spin off. The Tales fanbase appears to be very dedicated and its core members of a few hundred thousand seem to move wherever the games go. It would be a huge and inexplicable surprise if this game doesn't eventually top Dawn of the New World's sales numbers. But the franchise isn't a huge seller.

Actually the 360 version of Vesperia did worse in both Japan and the US than DotNW, it is close though. Of course the PS3 version of Vesperia outperformed them both in Japan by a decent margin.

I'm hoping this does really well too, even if I don't take Famitsu reviews seriously my-self I want this game to do well because of what I know about it. I hope it does ~200k week one and does well afterward even though FFXIII is launching the week after.

Sorry, not horribly, but not as much as the game deserves.

They are all really good (I never got the 360 one) and deserve a bigger (while still dedicated) fanbase.

I'm just saying, they're happy with the few hundred thousand sales for each game so they keep making tons of them. To Namco they sell well. Their allowed budget will obviously be in line with their expectations for the franchise, and I'm sure they'll more than simply meet those. Of course it would be sweet if it was some sort of insane success which in turn would possibly make Namco provide a higher budget for the next title but what can you do. If it doesn't appeal to more people, it just doesn't. That creator's voice footage is awesome, combat looks so fun.

I'm excited, it isn't by the same guy who's been doing Symphonia/Abyss/Vesperia so I hope that score is right on.
