    Overview

    The HD Collection, tentatively titled Tales of Symphonia Chronicles in the west, was released in Japan on October 10, 2013 with western territories to follow in 2014. The port was rumored and dismissed just a few weeks before it was announced at Tales Festival 2013 on June 1st, 2013.

    The port of Tales of Symphonia is based on the PS2 version of the game which included extra content and some gameplay improvements, however the framerate was reduced to 30 frames-per-second instead of 60 like on the Gamecube. Unlike their original Western releases, Symphonia Chronicles allows players to select between English and Japanese audio for both games.

    If the player has Graces F and/or Xillia saves on their PS3, they will be rewarded with a new costume for each of the characters in Tales of Symphonia -- most of which are based off of one of the characters from either of the aforementioned Tales games. The bonus costumes are as such:
