It would seem so after a gaffe by voice actor Rikiya Koyama, who plays Duke Pantarei in the game's Japanese version (played by Jamieson Price in the English version) - he's mentioned a Wii version in a blog post today.

When discussing his guest appearance in the latest instalment of the Tales of Vesperia web radio program, Koyama went off on a tangent about how the Vesperia franchise is expanding, stating that the game has appeared on the Xbox and PS3 and would next appear on the Wii.

I read about that over at Kotau.  It would be funny if the Wii version was also like the PS3 version and had all the extra stuff that the 360 version didn't have.

Or it could just be a misunderstanding and he was actually talking about the Wii game Tales of Graces.

I'm guessing it'll be along the same lines as the Symphonia one that came out for the Wii and be a different story in the same world. Or maybe they'll butcher the graphics and port it straight to the Wii *shrugs*

Any news on the western release of Vesperia on the PS3?

They have the Wii engine in place now, so I reckon there's truth to it. Tales Wii games are proving popular in Japan and there's a lot of interest for Graces, It may prompt Bandai  to rake in as much sales as possible by having three versions.

If they can do this, they can do Vesperia competantly..

Not completely unreasonable - Vesperia is a fantastic looking game, more from art style than anything technical. Although it would certainly look jankier in 480p.

I was thinking it would be like a side story like Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, but who knows what this could be?

It's definitely feasible and I'm sure there would be a decent audience for it in Japan (in the U.S. it would bank on whether or not all those Wii owners remember Symphonia fondly), but it seems a bit odd to do yet another port of the same game.

In all likelihood he was probably talking about Tales of Graces.
