Overview

Tango Gameworks was a Japanese development studio formed by Shinji Mikami (Person) and a number of other ex-PlatinumGames (Company) members. The company was acquired by Zenimax Media in October 2010. After Game Republic (Company) shut down in 2011, Tango hired many of its employees. In 2020, Micorsoft acquired Zenimax and all of its subsidiaries including Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Game Studios (Company). Shinji Mikami left the studio in February 2023. The studio was closed by Microsoft in May 2024. Krafton Game Union (Company) acquired the studio and the rights to Hi-Fi Rush in August 2024.
