I sold my Wii a while back. Just never played it , not trying to be a hater. I have also already invested in a fight stick for the 360 (since it has more fighting games to play). Was there a big reason why this game was not multi platform? Wouldnt this game have been a bigger success if it had come out on 360 or PS3 instead? I really want to play this game. IS there any talk about this game coming to the other systems?
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars
Game » consists of 3 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
A revamped edition of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes with new characters, modes, and features. Designed with an international release in mind, all but one character from the original roster remains, as well as several fan-favorite new challengers.
Why only on Wii
I think Capcom's 'excuse' was that the architecture of the original arcade board that the game was released on in Japan is similar in architecture as the Wii's. I could easily see this game as coming to the PS3/360 - Capcom might need to put a bit more effort into porting it to these systems then they would the Wii though.
Ohhh i completely know this answer.
Well i know what the producer of the series gave as a answer to this question:
- We wanted to to make a new game in the VS series
- The VS series are all about fun
- The Wii is all about fun
- The Wii does not have any great fighters
- We made it from the ground up for the Wii
So it comes down to it not being a brown shooter.
You can check the interview given yesterday that is also in the TvsC forum.

edit:
As a matter of fact, there are more fighting games available on Wii when you consider those available on the Virtual Console.
it would had been nice if they released it multi platform at the very least... considering wii hardware isn't that strong compared to the 360 and PS3.
Capcom most definately would have gotten more sales if they released it on the 2 main platforms for sures.
I have an xbox and ps3 and 3 TE sticks and i can't even use them for TvC.
WTF Capcom.

" It's cheap to produce and looks like shit. "Are you kidding? The ratio of brown to every other color in the spectrum is microscopic.
If I wanted to play a game that looked like shit, I'd play Lair. If I wanted to play a game that played like shit, I'd also play Lair.

TvC is a colorful, stylish game with a look that, while similar in some respects to Street Fighter IV in its fully polygonal art and 2D gameplay, is very fitting for both the Capcom and Tatsunoko characters. Are there some rough edges? Yeah, but then so do high-end graphics games like Gears of War.
It's utterly disappointing to see people judge graphics as shit just because they aren't on a technical level equivalent to the highest-end of the current generation. There's technical prowess, and there's artistic prowess. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom may be limited in the former, but it excels in the latter. It is a great looking game.

- Too bad.
- I'd love to have one myself, but damn are they expensive.
- Is there a big reason why Mass Effect is only on the 360? Is there a big reason why Metal Gear Solid 4 is only on the PS3?
- I doubt it. We don't yet know how well the game is going to do, but even on the HD consoles most people wouldn't pick it up because they don't know who half the characters are.
- There is no talk of it coming to other consoles, and it would really have to fail for something like that to happen. Even then, I would be surprised.
" There is no talk of it coming to other consoles, and it would really have to fail for something like that to happen. Even then, I would be surprised. "Given that this is a rather significant revision of the original Japan-only release, which in itself was not a commercial success, I can't imagine Capcom spending more money to port the game to other consoles if it fails to attract an audience a second time, particularly when the game was originally built with Wii hardware in mind. Hell, even the Japanese Cross Generation of Heroes arcade cabinets are based on Wii hardware.
" @AgentJ said:I would have to agree. Why spend money on a port when you can save some using the original. For the same reason Street Fighter 4 isn't on the Wii. Getting TvC, built ground up on the Wii, ported up to the HD consoles would take more money and effort than they are willing to invest. Tatsunoko doesn't exactly have a lot of pull outside Japan, on the 360 and PS3, it would be slaughtered by more recognizable names that are already present on those systems. Likewise, porting SF4 down and adapting it to the Wii is more effort than they are willing to put into something that may not pay off much. Will this game tank on the Wii? Well, yeah. That's likely. But it would also tank on the 360 and PS3, and cost Capcom more money by doing so.
" @Hailinel said:Well, considering there is almost as many Wii consoles as there are PS3 and 360 consoles combined, I am still scratching my head over that one. I think the term should have been, "the 2 HD platforms". It is funny when people on all sides complain about games not turning up on the console they want. If you want a game badly enough, you will have the console it is on, otherwise, a single console can satisfy anyone, as long as they stop looking at the eye candy elsewhere - kind of like marriage ^-^" @NateDogg said:I know duder. lol wut indeed. "Actually you might able to play it on the wii if you use a few converters.
