In May 2009 the June issue of NIntendo Power leaked revealing that TvC would also be coming to the US. In the article Ryota Niitsuma the producer of the game talked about how the game will be renamed Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars for its US release that new features and characters will be in the US release also talking about an online mode. Some days later Capcom confirmed the news on their blog saying that it was one of their two big mystery announcements for E3 2009. Some days later also on their blog Capcom confirmed that the game would be coming out in Euope.
A press release issued by Capcom on June 2 confirmed the aforementioned online play and revealed that five new characters would be included in the Western release. Due to copyright reasons, one Tatsunoko character has been removed from the roster ( Hakushon Daimaou). However, the next day Capcom replaced this press release with a much more ambiguous one, claiming the previous release was "incorrect."
In September, it was announced that Ultimate All-Stars would receive a Japanese release, officially making it a revision of Cross Generation of Heroes instead of simply a localization. Famitsu soon after revealed the first new character: Tekkaman Blade.
The Japanese website was updated soon after Tekkaman Blade's reveal, but curious visitors discovered that careless coding had revealed the remainder of the roster: Joe the Condor (Science Ninja Team Gatchaman), Yatterman-2 (Yatterman), Frank West (Dead Rising) and Zero (Mega Man X or Mega Man Zero). The website was reworked to remove the offending coding and Capcom has issued a "no comment" regarding the news, but with Frank's reveal at TGS 2009, many believe the leak to be true.
The game will release on the same week in all regions: January 26, 2010 in North America, January 28, 2010 in Japan, and January 29, 2010 in Europe.
The second indicator bar in the game is the super bar that stocks up up to 5 units of it and that fills when you do or receive damage.
Projectile: Projectile Supers usually are blockable and do the less damage Zone: Zone supers like projectile supers are still blockable but do somewhat more damage. Hit: Hit supers require the player to time it so that it hit the opponent the first second. if missed the super will have failed. Hit supers do the most damage.
Some of the supers can be executed whilst the character is airborne.
Characters

Capcom announces a new entry into their famous crossover "VS" series of games. This time the Capcom favorites do battle with characters from the famous Japanese animation house Tatsunoko Productions.
Overview
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars is a fighting game developed by Capcom. It is known that like the previous Capcom developed "VS" games it remains in 2D, and offers tag team based gameplay. Unlike the previous VS games, TvC uses a four-button setup compared to six buttons with three buttons as light, medium, and heavy attacks (no punch or kick variety) along with the fourth button for tags and assists. Using variations of those buttons allow for more technical abilities from previous VS games like the double team super move, assists, advanced block, and mega crashes. The standard array of modes like most fighting games are here with a 7-stage arcade mode against the computer A.I., versus mode with up to two players, training mode, Wii-exclusive mini-games that utilize the Wii Remote, and an in-game shop where you spend Zennies to buy four more characters, stages, background music, and art for the game. A TvC branded arcade stick is also available at Japan for release for the pure fighting game experience even though WiiMote/Nunchuk combo, Classic Controller, and the GameCube controller also work. Other arcade sticks can also work like the Hori Wii-specific arcade stick and converters to use other sticks from other systems. In May 2009 the June issue of NIntendo Power leaked revealing that TvC would also be coming to the US.
