    Overview

    15 years after having been banned from baseball, Shinada has made a living out of writing for an adult magazine in the Nagoya region of Kineicho. The job is low-pay and he's up to his neck in debt to several people, including the local loan shark, Koichi Takasugi.

    Despite his circumstances Shinada is a very optimistic guy, putting a lot of faith and trust in those people he considers friends. He also has a tendency to goof off, shown in conversations with his loan shark or when he is mocking Kurosawa using Baba's camera. Shinada has immense respect for baseball, and refuses to use a bat in combat out of respect for the sport, with the belief that they should be used for the sport rather than violence.
