It's like I'm watching you fly through a windshield!

This is my first review, so my skills may be a little rusty. First off, this game is just awesome from top to bottom. Unlike most games with classes, this one is balanced for the most part. And if it's not, Valve goes ahead and tries to make it balanced with seeming non-stop updates to the game.

In TF2, there is 9 Diffrent classes. The Scout, who runs fast, and can double jump packs an up close punch but very little HP(Hit points) The solider, who packs a rocket launcher, doing pretty good damage. It's Critical hits are a force to be reckoned with. (We'll talk about Crits in a moment.)The soldier has a lot of HP. Theres the mumbling, gas-mask wearing Pyro who uses fire to burn
his enemies to death. His hit points are in the middle. There's the Demoman, who uses grenades to blow the enemies to smithereens. His hit points are also in the middle. There's the Heavy, which tells your alot about his figure and speed. He uses his named Minigun to bring down enemies very quickly. He packs the most HP in the game. The Engineer can build Sentry guns that automaticly shoot enemies. He has quite low HP. The Medic Heals other players and can "Ubercharge" Them. An ubercharge makes the medic and Healing target invulnrable for 8 seconds. There is a version of the Healing gun that also Gives the target all crits for 8 Seconds rather than invlunrability. He packs a bit more HP than the Scout, Enginner, sniper and spy. There's the Sniper. He snipes. He doesnt have much HP, but since he usually attacks from a long distance, enemies are less of a threat. Finally, theres the Spy. The spy can disguise as the enemy (or Friendly Team) As well as cloak to get past the front lines. He uses his deadly butterfliy knife to backstab and instantly kill enemies from behind.

Lets talk about some mechanics. Critical hits are special attacks. All weapons have them unless it says so. They are very common with melee weapons and semi-common with Guns. They do more damage than normal attacks. Ubercharges are described above in the Medic Class section. More abilities will be described in the Weapons section.(If i forgot any just leave a comment and ill add it)

TF2 has 18 Valve maps at the moment, and limitless Custom made maps. There's the CTF (Capture-The-Flag) mode, where your goal is to take the eneies intellengence (A breifcase of their team color) and return it to your base. In CP (Capture point) mode, there is a set number of control points that both teams are trying to capture. Don't play TC (Territory Control) mode. Ever. It sucks. There is the PL (Payload) mode. In which the BLU (Attacking team) is trying to push a bomb in a cart to the enemies base and then.... KABOOOM!. There is also PLR (Payload Race) Where both teams have a cart. and Race to the goal. Arena mode is a mode in which you don't respawn. The goal is to kill all of the enemy team or capture a point that opens after 1 Minute of playing.

Onto Weapons, The Scout packs a scattergun that's deadly at point blank range, the pistol for picking of enemies at a distance and the always comical Baseball bat. The scout has 3 Unlockables. The Force-A-Nature, which replaces the Scatter gun, blows back the scout and target. "BONK!" Energy Drink provides a scout with a few seconds of invulrablebility. That replaces the PIstol. and finally theres the Sandman, which replaces the bat. It launches a Baseball that stuns an enemy that it hits.

The Soldier has his rocket launcher, which he can use to "Rocket-Jump". It's also good for killing. He has a shotgun, and a shovel for melee. The soldier has the "Direct Hit" For a rocket launcher replacement. The Rockets go 80% faster, and have less splash damage. Mini crits are awarded if you hit an enemy in mid air. for Shotgun replacement, the Soldier has the "Buff Banner" When your "Rage" Meter is full, you play a Bugle and everyone around you gets minicrits. Finally, there is the equalizer. It replaces melee. It is a pickaxe that, as you have lower health, you run faster and it does more damage.

The Pyro has his flamethrower, which sets people on fire. A secondary attack blows an airblast that reflects enemy projectiles (Even huntsman arrows)  and is awesome in the right situation. The pyro has a shotgun, and a Fire axe for melee. For unlockables, theres the Backburner, which lacks an airblast but gets 100% crits from behind. Don't use it. Airblast is way better than 100% crits from behind if you know how to use it. The flare gun replaces the shot gun, it shoots flares that can light enemies on fire from afar. As for the axe replacement, there's the "Axtinguisher" which gets an automatic crit on burning enemies. But does less damage to enemies not on fire.

The Demoman has a grenade launcher which does a fair amount of damage. he has a sticky bomb launcher, which stick to surfaces (Not players) and can be detonated at anytime. For melee, he has a bottle of scrumpy. For unlocks, The Demo has "The Charge and Targe" Which replaces Sticky launcher. You use alt fire to charge at the enemy and, if the charge is long enough, you get crits. For Melee it's the Eyelander, of which there can only be one. Preferably used with CnT. It's a big sword that does more damage, but gives you less health. You get more health and speed for the more heads you get (Did I mention it decapitates enemies?) Then there is the Scottish Resistance. It replaces the sticky launcher and you can choose which Stickies to detonate.

The Heavy has his Minigun named "Sasha" which mows down enemies fairly quickly. He has a shotgun, and for melee he uses his bare fists. For unlockables, he has "Natasha", a minigun that does less damage, but slows down enemies you are shooting.  To replace the shot gun the Heavy has the "Sandvich" Yes you read that right. A sandwich. It can be eaten to restore your health to max. It is useful for heavies without a medic. For a fist replacement, the Heavy has the K.G.B. (Killing Gloves of Boxing). They move slightly slower than fists, but after a kill, the heavy has 100% crits with all weapons for 5 Seconds. In a community update. the Heavy got a Shotgun replacement called  "The Dalokoh's Bar" It increases your max health for 30 seconds

The Engineer has a shotgun, pistol, and a wrench for melee. He has a building kit used to build Upgradable Sentry Guns, Dispensers and teleporters. As of when I updated this review on April 4th, 2010, the Engineer has no unlocks, though Valve has said they are working on an Engineer update.

The Medic has a gun that shoots needles. A healing gun that can be used to activate Ubercharges once you fill up the Ubercharge Meter. For melee, the medic uses the "Bonesaw" For unlockables, the Medic uses the "Blutsauger" which replaces the needle gun. It acts the same but without crits. All needles that hit enemies give the medic a 3HP Boost. For the Medigun replacement, theres the "Kritzkrieg", Which acts like a Medigun, but Charges quicker and instead of Invunlarblity, the target has Crits for 8 second. For Melee. the Medic has the "Ubersaw" Which like a bone saw, but attacks slower. Each hit on an enemy fills up 25 Percent of your Ubercharge meter. In the Mann-Conomy update, the Medic recieved a new saw, titles the Vita Saw. It keeps 20% of uber stored

The Sniper has a standard sniper rife, which has a scope (duh.) amd can charge his shots to do more damage. Headshots do critical damage. The sniper also has a SMG and a Kurki (A big knie). For unlockables. the sniper has the "Huntsman" Which replaces the Sniper rifle. It's a bow and arrow. Its charges much quicker, and pins enemies to walls. The sniper has two unlocks for the SMG. The "Razorback" prevents one backstab from a spy.  Thats it. Finally, there's  "Jarate, the Jar-Based-karate!" It's basically a jar of piss that when throw on enemies, they take 35% Percent more damage. In a community update, the Sniper received a new melee weapon called "The Tribalmans Shiv" It does half the damage of the kukri, but has a bleed effect on enemies.

The Spy has a revolver, a sapper used to disable and destroy enemy Engineer buildings. There's the butterfly knife, described above, the Disguise kit. Used to...... Disguise. And the Invisibility watch. Used to Cloak. For Unlockables, the spy has "The Ambassador" which fires slower than the Revolver but gets Headshots like the Sniper rifle. There is 2 new watches. The "Cloak and Dagger" Uses its power by movement. It recharges it the spy is standing still, The "Dead Ringer" Lets you have a feign death and cloak for a short time. In the Mann-Conomy update, the Spy recieved a new Revolver, called

Now, on to Valve's support. Valve constantly adds updates to TF2. As of this review update on November 30th, 2010 (Damn I wrote this original review a loooooong time ago), every class has an update. In every update, bugs are fixed or features are added or both. Weapons can be "Nerfed" When its made less Overpowered. Or it can be "Buffed"  To make it more powerful.

All in all, this is an awesome  game. I highly recommend it if you like fun and your computer can run it. Don't bother with the Console versions, there's no updates and a cheating problem. Seriously, go buy it if you hadn't already.

One of the best multiplayer shooters money can buy 0

Team Fortress 2 is addicting. While writing this review I want to play it right now. The gameplay is that good. For those who don't know, Team Fortess 2 is a sequel to a mod which came out out way back for Quake 3. It is a class based online multiplayer shooter. You can choose beetween nine different classes, from the speedy Scout to the all-offensive Heavy Weapons Guy. You play across 7 different maps each with their own special mode. With modes like Capture the Flag and Control Points. Team F...

      Rocket Jumping to Victory 0

First thing noticeable about Team Fortress 2 is the visual art style. Derivation from 1950's and 60's advertising automatically centers this game around the rare category of quirky and unique themed games this generation. Where squad based realistic shooters dominate the market, TF2 is an oasis in this time of need. Don't let the name fool you however, the games Fortresses take a backseat to the classes. There's no shortage of abundance as you take control of nine highly unique classes across t...
