I forgot but I read somewhere that Team Ico might be revealing more about their game this TGS. Of course I could be mistaken, but I am totally psyched for the game. Its probably my most anticipated game, and theres not even any information for it. You probably don't need me to tell you I'm a huge fan of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I just can't wait for what Team Ico has up their sleeves for their next game.
So, any news for it? Is Team Ico even gonna make any announcements or anything like that?
Any news on Team Ico's unamed project for the PS3?
Yeah i think theres more than enough decent gaming to look forward to until possibly the end of q1 2009 - i reckoin ico will make the statement around then - cos my god these guys can do some amazing things and if they dont make a ps3 platform title, ill scream
"Yeah i think theres more than enough decent gaming to look forward to until possibly the end of q1 2009 - i reckoin ico will make the statement around then - cos my god these guys can do some amazing things and if they dont make a ps3 platform title, ill scream"Makes sense. We're pretty much hyped already with what is coming out this year. No need to just throw in another title.
Although it can be annoying I think sony is trying to jog with they're wave of games, so they don't spend a ton of money and time hyping up a few games anymore. It's good for sony gamers in terms of money spent towards a quality game, but unfortunately others who don't own the console seem to take that negatively. Plus there are plenty of games already coming out for PS3.
I'm gonna be trying out Shadow of the colossus and ICO lol yea i'm behind but those games look amazing =D
To bad there isnt a whole lot of news on the new game from team ICO, hopefully soon.
Not a single thing :(
I do have this awesome five page GamesTM interview with Ueda that I would happily post if my scanner was working :/ , for fans of his games.
All he says on project 3 is this-
“I’m not feeling any pressure at the moment because time is not critical yet,”
“Production has not reached the critical stage. The company is very reasonable thanks to my achievements in the past. So, although I do get pressured, that’s not happened yet, and that’s something I feel gratitude for, that the company gives us the opportunity to focus by giving us time.”
“I’m working on a PlayStation 3 title” “That’s as far as I can go.”
"@Linkyshinks: When was that article written?"
August, it's in the August issue anyway.
"Probably going to save it for later. Team Ico has become something of an international success story in terms of critical reception, so to unleash their new game at TGS doesn't seem like it would do the announcement justice."I hadn't thought of that but yeah it makes sense. They could pick any time to announce stuff (other than TGS) and people would listen :D nifty thinking dude.
"Maybe an unveiling could be held for the GDC event next year? The ICO team is different in that they do their games on their own schedule, they don't bend to publishers or "expectations" in regards to time constraints... and so far it's worked wonderfully for them. They announce their games when they're ready and Sony seems keen on letting them do so as each of their 2 games have been very well done and very unique.
Instead of just being a sub-project, it could be a demo perspective for the gaming market in 09.
Team ICO always seems to have different missions across their network space in the industry.
"
From a fav's point of view, I hope to hear news asap... but I can wait knowing that they're hard at work making a game we'll enjoy.
