    Overview

Tecmo Super Bowl is an enhanced remake of the original 1991 Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES released for the 16-bit Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis consoles in late 1993. It features multiple graphical and mechanical tweaks, and still has the licenses of both the NFL and the NFLPA, allowing both real-life team and player names to be used. A disclaimer during the intro purports that all team rosters are accurate as of August 16, 1993. Among the new changes were variable weather conditions and NFL team logos on the endzones.

Tecmo Super Bowl uses the same perspective as its forebears: a zoomed-out view of the field that allows the player to see a large number of athletes from both teams at once, around which they can plan strategies.
