Guess the backgrounds could use some more polish but that will probably happen before the game releases near September. The characters look fine in my opinion but really it doesn't interest me all that much, i want to see some game play footage. Smash Brothers does not look all that interesting in stills either.

The actual character models look alright (apart from Splinter that is...frog feet?), it's just a shame that quality does not cross over to the environment. It just looks a bit too simplistic and uninteresting right now. It may not matter so much given the type gameplay but it's still nice to have a cool level to fight in. This level seems to have too many horizontal and vertical planes, and not much in between. Textures also look very plain right now, apart from brickwork which looks OK, but the edges need to be frayed and broken up a bit. Hopefully with time arenas will look better and have a lot more distinct style to them. The actual arena design is important, but not so much the aesthetics of them, what's more important is level design that promotes tactical play and good gameplay. After they sort that out they should get to work on polishing up everything else..
