Sure, these days have almost every game sporting the newfangled 3D, but way back when, everyone had to live with plain old 2D. 2D, or two dimensions, limit the game to scrolling backgrounds, but some games even now make use of this basic concept.
Games that were made entirely by one person.
Frames per second is the rate at which a game can render individual and unique consecutive frames in order for the game to be seen on screen by the human eye.
Games devoid of or mostly without music, including games with title screen music, but with little to no gameplay music.
Never Ending Games is a self-explanatory concept in which a game is unbeatable and never ends, due either to the game having no true ending or because the game is not saved (or truly continued) after the last section of the game.
No HUD games are ones that either lack a Heads Up Display, or find a way to integrate it into the game environment. Many games do this to add a sense of immersion or artistic quality to their games, or to reduce screen clutter.
Games that make records. Often records like most played game, or critically acclaimed. There have been gaming records since the says of Pong and the Magnavox Oddysey.
A game with no sound or music of any kind.
A level in which everything is displayed on-screen at once, with no scrolling, flip screen, or 3D movement. Many '80s games consist entirely of single-screen levels.
Tennis is a sport that involves making a ball hit your opponent's side of the court by hitting it with a racket.
