Test Drive is a racing game developed by Distinctive Software in 1987. It is the first entry in the long-running Test Drive franchise.

Gameplay

Players are challenged to race up a narrow mountain road, avoid the oncoming traffic, and outrun the police. The players can't drive off the road; doing so will result in a collision with a cliff wall or a dive into a cliff drop.

Legacy

Test Drive is the game that introduced the concept of street racing while outrunning the police. It was also the first real racing game for DOS.
