Overview
Tharja is a Dark Mage in Fire Emblem: Awakening from the nation of Plegia. However, while she fights for the Plegian army, she despises taking orders and risking her life for them and will join Chrom's forces should he talk to her during battle in Chapter 9. She's a sullen woman that rarely smiles with a darkly sarcastic sense of humor. If she marries, Noire will be her daughter.
Tharja is an unusual character among the player's ranks due to her stalker-level obsession with the Avatar. Regardless of the Avatar's gender, comments she makes in the barracks and other parts of the game indicate an unhealthy fascination with him/her. If the male Avatar proposes marriage to her, she'll accept, but warn him that if he backs out, she'll murder him in his sleep. Coming from her, this is a legitimate threat.
Versed in casting hexes, Tharja often looks for ways to practice new ones. In the future, she treated her daughter Noire as her favorite target while raising her and frequently put her under the effects of one hex or another. She's also not above casting hexes on her husband, especially should he interfere with her research.
