I'm a huge Beatles fan but is the game worth $250? Also why is it $50 more than Rock Band 2?

Ten dollars says that you can buy the game separately without the plastic instruments. One of the reasons why the game is fifty bucks more is due to licensing fees.

If it came with 2 guitars... then I can see that... but also... if they are modeled after their instruments then... yeah okay I guess I can justify the extra 50.

I'd pay $250 for a Satanic Warmaster Rock band, but since the beatle are vastly inferior I would not.

I guess this is worth it for a Beatles fan who want to play with instruments modeled after their real-life instruments, but I don't personally find the price too appealing. Though I also don't really care for the Beatles in general.

I am a huge Beatles fan, but no way am I paying $250 for a video game. Ill buy the disk and thats it for me. Until one of my instruments breaks, I cant warrant spending money on a newer version.

Enough of the peripherals already, please. JUST STOP ALREADY!

Seriously, we don't need any more plastic instruments. (unless we have to get a replacement of course)

I didn't even buy new instruments for Rock Band, I stuck to the Guitar Hero controllers and assuming they work with this game, I won't buy new instruments. Maybe if I want to start on the drums.

It depends on your instrument situation, but it's probably so expensive because of licensing costs combined with it probably being more expensive to make these instruments.

It's not worth much of anything.  Then again, I was never a huge fan of the single-band game.  The collective music given to you in Rock Band 2 is far better than the collective songs made by ANY single band, regardless of how popular they are/were

It is worth it IF you get $250 worth of fun out of it. As with anything.

I love the Beatles but you know what? I am just going to get the standalone game. $60 is fine and I already have enough plastic instruments as it is. I don't need to break down like Ryan and Jeff and realize I have drums in my bathroom (I loved that episode, lol).

I might buy the disc alone. Not sure. It's harder everytime to keep going back to music games. It's an over-saturated genre.

If you already have the instruments from a previous iteration and you buy the $250 bundle, you need to seriously rethink some things in your life.

$199 for those other games is ridiculous enough already. No game is worth $250. That's madness. Plastic included or not.

At this point, with so much hardware out for the music games, not a single fucking ONE of them is worth $250.

They just need to release a base game and PATCH it with UI updates and DLC.

True the $250 price point for the instruments is kinda high, but the weirder thing is the $60 price point for the game-only Wii version. Aren't Wii games $50?

I'm happy to just use my old Rock Band instruments, but if you're a hardcore Beatles fan, or a hardcore game collector, $250 is easily worth it.

I really like The Beatles too, but you could buy a console for $250. I'd rather just keep my Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments and play the game like that.

Nope, but that does come out on the same day, So you can have your Beatles shopping spree.

And yes, the Beatles totally are worth that much (kinda depends on the song selection, though).

I'm gonna get the game, and I need a second guitar and a new drum set, so I'll probably pick up the special edition pack.
