The best part about this game is all the crazy power-ups you can find, and even a few hours in I'm still finding completely new and crazy shit.

This is fuckin crazy! How do these things happen to yer character? Are they random or are they like the cape damage in Arkham Asylum?

@Kyreo: They happen when you find certain item pickups. It's random which items you find, but the same item always give the same effect.

I didn't take a screenshot but I had zombie skin, a price tag and flies floating around my head. I looked a rotting corpse basically.

How did you beat Monstro II? That guy merked me something fierce. Even with the devil wings - altho, the 9 lives cat thing probably didn't help.

@Vitor: About Monstro 2 - you have to be very aware of his laser attack. if you stand in front of him for more than a second, chances are you're going to get lasered (he also grins a little bit beforehand). I don't think he's too much worse than Monstro 1, you just have to be more aware of his patterns.

Also, another:

I hate how some items visually disappear if you have too many :(

I finally got through the game once. I was tiny from some mushroom, and I had max speed, increased damage, and really fast firing tears.

Just before I beat the womb. I noticed some items get overridden; you can't see that I also have the Indian headdress, 3rd eye, rock, underwear and shoes on

Yep, that happens. At least it's better than Dungeons of Dredmor. Also, you can see everything you have in the options menu. And, congrats on beating the womb :p

Nothing, the only thing that persists is a list of items you have found and any new treasures or characters you have unlocked.

Each time you restart it is completely fresh with only your starting items and health.

D: I've gotten him 3 times already, usually from actually beating Steven himself...uh...themselves...

This kinda explains why I cant get much farther than the depths. My Isaac never gets many upgrades/items. Everyone who gets far has a waaayy crazier looking Isaac than mine ever gets.

The Binding of Isaac

A Biblically-inspired action roguelike where players take control of Isaac, a young boy who is running from his deranged mother, whose delusions lead her to believe God wants her son dead. Isaac has to navigate multiple floors of his basement - fighting enemies; bosses; and eventually, his mother.
