Just to let you guys know that I've S-ranked this motherfucker. Yeah, I know, you're super interested in this.
Over 42 hours of playtime.
Game » consists of 4 releases. Released Sep 28, 2011
Impressive to say the least. Congratulations (especially on clearing the womb w/ no damage, yikes)
I'm trying to S-Rank it as well. Currently at 39 Hours and 60% (31/52) Achievements.
Just beat the full game for the fourth time (with Cain too) and grabbed the Coin Purse and the Quarter. I need to make an effort to B-line the bosses more instead of clearing out floors - costly to the HP.

Congrats. Any tips? You use keyboard or controller?
Keyboard. As for tips, choose your items wisely. The character Cain is the most solid of the bunch, in my opinion.
Regarding the clear womb/depths w/ no damage achieves the "We Neend To Go Deeper" shovel is great since you can use it in the first floor of each and still get the achievement. Also the map can really come in handy in these situations, since you can take the shortest path to the boss.
Congrats, duder! That game can be a nightmare.
I get frustrated and give up after about three deaths which is weird since I'll restart Nethack dozens of times and not even think about it when I invariably get sucked back into Dungeons of Doom.
Well, after about 23 hours of playtime, I just beat the game for the first time yesterday. So, yeah.
Take that...
@PeasantAbuse: If it's any consolation, Mom is the 2nd hardest boss of the game, if not the hardest one.
Try to reach the Mom battle with as many hearts as possible. If you got Cain or Magdalene use them instead. If you find cards like Strength, Devil, Empress save them for the battle. I'm sure you'll have a easier time beating her.
@Jeust: That boss is a walk in the park. You fight harder stuff prior to it.
The tip about Cain being the best is really spot on. Started trying to beat the game w/ Magdalene today and forgot how dangerous pills can be - oh how I miss you Lucky Foot.

You're absolutely right. After playing a bunch with Cain, when I went for the "finish the game with this character" achievements, I would pop a pill and "Speed down" happened, and I was like "wait, what? how? awww man". Lucky Foot is one of the best items out there.
Even though Lucky Foot is awesome, my favorite character is... Eve.@SteamPunkJin said:

:O Well done. 42 hours is pretty damn good too. I've got everything except the last 2 iron boys =( I know enough about how to get them, but there's always just something that gets me :(
It's usually one of these:
or one of these:
Congratulations. I've played it for 82 hours, but don't have the no-damage achievements for The Depths and The Womb.
I also don't have the achievement for dying 100 times (The Shears), because I've only died something like 70 times total. I definitely died like 20 or 30 times before I first finished the game, but since then, for every 1 time I die, I manage to fully complete the game the other 4 or 5 times after that. I'm careful, I guess, but apparently not careful enough to take no damage.
Oh, and keep in mind there's a $3 expansion coming out in a few months, so you will be stripped of your S-rank when that comes around.
@Winternet: Oddly enough, the game decided to just give me the "100% the game" achievement. A week or so ago, I finally found Krampus, picked up the coal, then went on to complete the rest of the floors and kill the final boss for like the 50th time. Then for no reason it gave me the achievement.
So I'm actually only missing 3: The Shears, Dark Boy, and Mama's Boy.

I believe you don't need to get those achievements (Shears + Iron boys) to get Golden God. You definitely don't need the iron boys for 100% though, otherwise I wouldn't already have Golden God.
@BeachThunder: Do you just need every item then? The only thing special about the run where I got Golden God was that I picked up Krampus' coal for the first time, and I wonder if that raised my "items collected" count high enough that the game thinks I've picked up everything, even though I'm still missing The Shears.

Ah, yeah that's probably it. I was just thinking that perhaps shears were excluded because you essentially have to fail to get them =| Also, finding Krampus really sucked, it took me hours to find him :(
I hope you did this legit and I'll be impressed not that I know if you can cheese this game or not but if you did cheese bad gamer BAD.
Major props dude! I can beat mom's heart 70% of the time but immediately die on the following floor.

Beat the game for the first time today with Maggy. My only complaint so far is how random the game difficulty can be.
Is Sheol another dungeon you can unlock in some way?
Yes. Keep playing, and you'll unlock it.

51/52 here, only missing womb without damage... Damn that achievment can be a bitch.
Most people seem to think that The Depths without damage is considerably harder than The Womb with no damage. Are you using Isaac and the D6 to get a totally broken set of items by the time you get to The Womb? The only other option really is to use Cain and hope you get a bunch of stat increase pills.
I beat the game for the first time yesterday. Using Isaac, I got triple shot and chocolate milk. It seemed to rape fools real well. Only got hit once on the fight against Mom. It's funny because I had been playing for about three hours total before beating it (beat it at 4h) and I hadn't managed to get past Caves 2 and only made it there once, then this play through I get all the way to Mom and beat her.

Nice. The worst is done.
A late congrats to the OP.

The Depths is harder to do with no damage then The Womb, for sure. I still need to do The Depths(no damage), and die 100 times to unlock the sheers.

GODDAMMIT WHY CAN'T THEY PUT THIS ON CONSOLE SO I CAN THROW MONEY AT THEM!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!
The system requirements are rather low for it, though I guess if you only have access to a netbook, it may lag due to being a pretty resource intensive Flash game. But anything above a netbook should be able to run it pretty damn adequately.
