Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle is an action platformer for the NES. The player controls Bugs Bunny as he avoids enemies and collects carrots to advance through each level.
In each of the 60 or so levels in the Crazy Castle, the player is tasked with controlling Bugs Bunny who must collect all the available carrots and then exit the stage. Standing in his way are Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, and Daffy Duck who move around the stage and try to run into Bugs. The player can permanently remove an enemy from the stage by either hitting him with the boxing glove power up or dropping a weight, such as a flower pot, onto their head. There is a powerup that can be collected to make Bugs invincible for a short period of time and he is also invulnerable while moving in doorways and pipes. As the game progresses the stage get increasingly difficult, both in terms of enemies to avoid and level complexity.
