    Overview

Das Camp was originally created for the Forum64 Game Competition 2015, which ended on August 31st that year. The game was built in the D42-Adventure System and was ranked fifth in the game jam. Over the next year TUGCS worked on expanding and polishing the game, as well as translating it into English, and on September 2nd, 2016, the expanded "Caravan Edition" was released, both as a download on itch.io and as a physical boxed release on floppy (published by Protovision).

    Gameplay

The game is played as a fairly traditional text adventure, locations and player actions are described in written text, sometimes accompanied by still images. The game's writing is mostly humorous in tone, parodying found footage horror movies and referencing classic C64 titles.

Instead of typing as in most text adventures, players pick verbs and interactive objects from a list. There's incidental music written by SIDWave, though for the most part the sound channels are used for background sounds.
