After leaving the built-up area of Cutopia and a spine-chilling first meeting with Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun, Toonstruck's protagonists Drew Blanc and Flux Wildly come across a large field of corn. After a short debate about whether or not the scarecrow in the field is alive, it wakes up and promptly, voiced by Jeff Bennett, engages the duo in a lengthy conversation.

Through their discourse it is revealed that it is not a scarecrow, but is in fact a carecrow, who considers bullying crows to be deplorable, opting to take the moral high-ground and tend to his feather little "babies" instead.

It is also revealed that the carecrow considers high fashion to be a priority in his life, and would give anything for a new outfit to replace his old, worn cloak, going so far as to recruit Drew and Flux in his quest. Drew offers him a nice sports jacket, but utterly repulsed by the notion the carecrow proceeds to list the requirements for his idea get-up:

I want something I can wear all day long, and all year 'round-- but it doesn't have to be out of this world. I don't want to have a hair out of place. Nothing too sappy, and not too many bells or whistles. I don't want a big top-- and definitely no cross-dressing. Got that?
