    Do I need to watch the Riddick movies to understand whats going on in the story in this game? Never saw any of the movies.

    No, the games are before Pitch Black and CoR. Just need to know is the Riddick is a criminal and Johns is a bounty hunter that has constantly chased Riddick.
    Though if you do watch the movies, Pitch Black is more worth your time than Chronicles.
