    The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall from Bethesda Softworks is an enormous RPG and sequel to The Elder Scrolls: Arena. It includes a massive gameworld and pioneering freeform play. It was well received for these factors, but was criticised for a number of crippling bugs.

    I tried to go back and play it a few times.... but couldn't get into it.

    I think you should have to fill out a forum to have the word "official" in your post. =P

    Haven't played Daggerfall in a looooong time. But when I played it, I played the shit out of it. I don't think I could go back and play it now, however. There are some nice elements in the game (such as being able to climb, the populous celebrating holidays, etc.) that I'd love to see make a comeback, but the gameplay is just so dated now. I don't think I could do it.
