I am, and so far I am enjoying it a lot more than the first time I played it. I think this is mostly due to the fact that this time around I am actually building my character (i.e. keeping track of what I am leveling up and controlling my level-ups a lot more than I have in the past).
Has anyone else who is replaying it now or replayed it in the past felt the same way? Have your opinions on the game changed after replaying it?

    "Well met."

I think I may replay the game at some point before 11/11. I really need to find some good graphics mods first.

I won't play through it, but there is a good chance that it ends up in my PS3/PC before Skyrim's release.

I usually play it a few times a year, so I'll probably end up getting back into it before Skyrim.  After looking at the Elder Scrolls wiki I can see that I have done everything there is to do in that game, except for the Nirnroot quest because that's just dumb.

I put a lot of time and effort into my first run through, so I think I'm good for now. Can't wait for the new stuff though.

Call me a fool, but after doing all there is to possibly do in Oblivion over the years, I think I'm going to check out both of the Two Worlds games until I get my hands on Skyrim.

Every time I try to play Oblivion, I get out of the sewer and say "Man, this is fucking boring" and quit. I honestly wish I had an xbox to play it at launch, because I just can't get into it now.

No, that's a perfect way for me to get burned out right before playing Skyrim. Also, there's no way I'm going through the same-looking dungeon/cavern/ruins 100+ times again.

I'd really like to, but between now and the time Skyrim comes out, I seriously doubt I'll have enough time to dedicate a full playthrough of it, especially with all the other games coming out.

Yup. I'm enjoying it more than my other two playthroughs thanks to my slowly acquired knowledge of all the game's mechanics (through my previous playthroughs and my Oblivion loving friend). I still don't care for the combat. It's clunky and responds so slow that I just can't get a feel for it. But I can turn down the combat difficulty and just mash my way through that stuff, so it's not a deal breaker.

Got the new version of Oblivion for the 360. Didn't realize it was in a foil-ish box until I broke the tape holding it in. Anyway, I fucking wish this game could generate one decent looking face for a female. Had to go with the typical dude with a fro if I can't get something I like. Other than that, hopefully I can sneak around that goblin in the beginning to raise my Sneak skill then all will be somewhat forgiven.

Never been a fan of the game despite having friends who've spent countless hours with the game and cried over a few lost game saves to me because of how awesome they were (their losses weren't my fault). Once I got out of the sewers, I felt like I was completely aimless, which I am sure a ton of people find that to probably be the most appealing thing about this game - its aimlessness.

You play a game like Fallout 3, you most likely saw this gigantic trash heap of a city far off into the horizon in front of you once you escaped the vault, then headed there to ask someone about the whereabouts of your dad. Oblivion has you staring at a body of water if I can remember correctly, nowhere in the direction of where you're supposed to go for the main quest. Even if everything I'm spouting out is not true, swords, bows, and magic along with orcs and elves, I feel have been way overexposed to me and I'm sick of it. I'm fine with Game of Thrones, though. Tried watching the Lord of the Rings films again just recently and just couldn't get excited about all that jazz anymore.

No, oblivion's main quest doesn't really click with me, i finished it once. Then i  tried a couple of different playthrough's, but the only thing i did in the main quest, was just delevering the amulet to Weynon Prior. And then setting off and do all the the awesome stuff instead. Like joining the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild, finding all ayleid statues, robbing houses. Ahhh... good times.

I thought about it. But I think I'd rather go into Skyrim with an idealized memory of my experience with Oblivion, rather than some sullied reality check with the game's flaws.

Kind of the same thing I did with Morrowind when Oblivion came out. Seemed to work pretty well.

I would really like to, but every time I have ever tried to play through that game I have wound up powering down the console within 30 minutes. The combat is just too boring, and while I realize that the game is mostly about exploration and narrative, swing my sword around is just too much of a focal point of both of those things for me to stomach. I may try once more. I traded in my copy of Oblivion a long time ago for one reason or another, but I'm sure one could acquire a copy pretty cheap these days.

I probably should, I've never actually finished the main quest...

I played through the game twice, both times finishing all of the different guilds, but never was able to get myself to keep doing the main quest...

I thought about it and came really close, but I then thought about leveled enemies and leveled quest rewards and feeling like I need to game the system the whole time I'm playing.  It's my own fault - but either way that's just not fun.

Yeah, I bought the 5th anniversary edition. I've finished all of the guild quests, save the fighters guild. I haven't played oblivion since I made my current gamer profile, so I'm trying to s rank it before the summer's done. But I've been side tracked as of late by Catherine.

I was thinking about playing through again before Skyrim, especially after watching Game of Thrones recently. Something I've never done in Oblivion is use any magic except the healing spell. Maybe I'll try a pure magic character.

I think I'm going to play it today. I have it on both 360 and PS3, but I've never beaten it nor done many side quests. I don't even know if I'll be playing Skyrim since I wasn't planning on it, but I may now have a different outlook.
