    The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Game » consists of 31 releases. Released Mar 20, 2006

Travel the continent of Tamriel, defend the land against Oblivion's Daedra hordes, and help fill the empty throne of Cyrodiil in the fourth installment of the Elder Scrolls series.

One of the main reasons I hate this game.....

Now, there are a lot of reasons I don't like Oblivion too much. The combat, the animation, the main quest, but another one is that everyone in this game looks ugly. I'm not talking about them graphically but them as a real person. I mean, really, there are no actually hot girls in this game besides maybe one that spars at the arena with an Argonian but besides that everyone in the game is just horribly ugly.

I think that if there is a sequel, they should at least get semi-attractive girls. I'm not saying that in a creepy way I'm saying that as in the game just has ugly people.

Oh, and get better voice actors, especially better female voice actors, who seem to have about 3 different voices.

Not ALL the voices were bad. There was just a lot of the same actors doing a load of roles. I personally thought that some of the voices were excellent, like the King.

They're not so much 'ugly', just victims of the randomizer. The face creator in Oblivion has a tendency to make all characters look like an embossed relief map of disappointment. But I think if they were going to make a sequel a lot of the bad points would be addressed as Bethesda have become a larger and more prolific developer. Also, at least the lackluster voice acting was better than the wiki entry NPCs from morrowind.

The voices where fine, but why the need for hot girls? With the game being mod friendly, you could just have a helmet have the face of someone hot.... That would be weird though.

I'd say they're more realistic than ugly. I mean.. a few of them look to have fucked up on a random face generator, but for the most part they're fine. And I think it's for the best. It's set in a fantasy/medieval era, and they didn't exactly have the appearance or cosmetics we do today. You won't find any Fabios in TES either.

Yeah, the King was excellent because it was PATRICK STEWART.

Yup, the voice acting was criminal, and the faces looked like scum.

Your right. If I can't jack off over a game it clearly isn't worth my time.

There's a difference between having realistically ugly characters(Mirror's Edge springs to mind) and a world populated exclusively by what appears to be fat old meth junkies.

I have to agree that when i first started up Oblivion it was obvious everyone had been hit by the ugly stick until the stick broke.

It's a fantasy game so normal logic doesn't apply. That's just how everyone looks in Cyrodiil.

    um? Mirror's Edge, realistically ugly?
I think the girl from Mirror's Edge is pretty hot...
maybe your standards are just too high...

Back in medieval days, they didn't have a bunch of makeup... so it's more realistic to have the women look more natural like that...

not every game needs hot girls in it... go back and play your DOA Xtreme...

    Missed the point there.
What I mean is that she isn't a generic 16 year old jrpg female or a Lara Croft.
Also like I said, make them look ugly. Kreia is an awesome character, and so is the Boss, but don't make EVERY FREAKING PERSON in the world look ugly.

Also what the hell does Mirror's Edge have to do with the medieval age?"
    you brought it up earlier...
anyways, I beg to differ about this whole "no hot girls in oblivion" thing...
