If you own the disc version of Shivering Isles, then no. I own both Oblivion and Shivering Isles on disc for PS3, and it requires the Shivering Isles disc to play. I actually lent my base Oblivion disc to my buddy because I didn't need it.

Yeah, but you might just wanna hold on to the disc if you have to uninstall for any reason.
