I have the scaled armor for a bit more armor during tougher melee fights. I was wearing elven armor until last night (which is a beautiful set) when I picked up both the Scaled set (with a pair of scaled boots with +30% sneaking) and joined the Dark Brotherhood to get those red/black leather pieces. I mainly wear those now. Also, Elven Greatsword and Elven Bow. Both look great.

The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
How does your character look?
Orc, level 11, Brakal. It sounds cooler pronounced in Norwegian, my first language, where the sounds of R, A, and K are quite different (among others). This is my first Elder Scrolls game and I'm really enjoying finding out how things work and building a character I like. I've put most work in heavy armor, two-handed weaponry and smithing (I've started working on enchantments as well).
playing on PS3 so only mobile photo quality, sorry.
Playing on 360 so can't really post a decent pic.. I'll try later.
Nord male - black paint around his eyes and a medium beard - Cicero's clothes.
I look like a Gothic Jester.. a deadly dealy jester
I wish that I could take screenshots on Xbox.
I wanted to make a character that looks like me, but all of the Redguard options are too damn dark to match my skin tone. This guy looks a little like Idris Elba, so I guess it's okay.

@Hellstrom:Cole?...
Not even remotely the same. I remember Infamous 2 a bit. Cole's face wasn't nearly as beefcake. I can only see the hair comparisons lol
Honestly i think my character looks a lot like Fedrik Ljunberg mixed with someone from Gears of war, strangely.
Nah I meant he looked like Cole from Infamous 1 more.

No fancy armor, pretty early on. I started over since that seems to be inevitable the first time I play any game like this.
She's got a good look, reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it.
I was playing with making a female character, but I might have to wait for some mods.
This game needs more cute short hair options, my mage character always has short hair, but the closest they have in default is a lady-ceasar which is a little too short because its just painted on the head -- even if it had a little volume....
armour set, besides the hood obviously. It can be obtained through the
quest line.
I figured out that you couldnt make any Imperials black.... Oh well, it doesnt matter, I still named him Darnell III and I'll post the picture here soon
My Redguard Character - still very early on (as you can tell from the location) and not specialised in any particular way yet - however i always roll with redguard assassins in TES games when i get the chance so this dude will follow suit
And like all games with character creation i tried to model him after me (or as close as you can a white dude with long hair and a moustache using the redguard type! haha)
That is Daedra.. you need 90 smithing. And it's way better than dragonhide. I'm kitted out in this now with dual Daedra swords.. riding around on Shadowmere being dark & edgy@Jawshua said:
Holy crap. What armor is that and how do I get it!?
I'm a Khajilt named Matteus. My real name is Matthew, and I thought this was a creative, and very lame way to integrate my name into the game, with an old fashioned twist. I wear a Mages hood and robe, just because they look badass, and give my character the stealthy look I'm going for, being a rogue/theif.
My Dunmer Battle Mage is named Aiem Nestey.
He also runs around naked since getting the Alteration perk that makes Stoneskin twice as effective when no armour is equipped.
@RandomHero666:
Well damn. I've been going Light Armor, but that just looks so damn good. Anyone have pictures of some of the cool light armor sets?
My Orc Warrior Onkough, sad to see mostly Nord characters on here, I prefer the more exotic races myself
since im playing on a 360 here is a shot from my Evo
he is a Nord 1h/shield warrior just joined the Imperial side of things and just running thru it for the story then plan on starting over goin wit the Stormcloaks as a Thief/Assassin tho not sure which Race i will be yet
spent about 10minutes trying to get this to look like myself as close as i could, i prob could have done better but i wanted to just get into the game at 1 am after the midnight release
New and improved picture of my wandering Nord.
Stahlbrand (was my 'barbarian' character's traditional name before I started using it as a handle) is a neutral-good wanderer who prefers to help individuals in need, but dislikes being drawn into political struggles. Skillwise, he is a master of two-handed hammers, and adept at light armour and smithing, he has no use for stealth, archery, or magic, so sometimes he has to skate uphill to get the job done.
I played Stahlbrand very similarly in Oblivion, Fallout, and other games. I have a few other stock characters I like to make, a sneaky fisting thief badguy (a Khajiit in ES games), and a brainy mage -- I'll get to them in later playthoughs to see what the stealth and magic gameplay are like.
I'm rolling with this cool Dunmer mage companion, but I won't spoil her details. With her ranged support I might be too powerful, I might have to send her home after I crush these witches.
I got a Redguard who's bald and has white skull facepaint. I figured that way he's look like a crazy cult shaman.
I don't have any way of taking a screenshot of my 360 but I'm playing an Imperial Battlemage who looks just like Brian Wilson. All the way down to the epic beard and mohawk. Still real early game so no fancy armor yet.

@Ertard: People lack the patience or imagination to make a another race than Nord (I'm an Orc myself). By the way, whats up with your characters face in the screen cap? Some special power/bestmode, or just a mask?
How is picking a Nord a lack of patience? "Auuuggh going through this list of races to choose from is just so time-consuming! I want to get into this 100+ hour game ASAP dammit!"
Personally, I just found the Nords to look really cool. On top of that, they're who the story really revolves around so being one felt like my character was actually more involved with the story than being an outsider looking in. For example, coming to terms with the fact that a lot of my race was comprised of ignorant racists and wanting to work to change that.
Oh and my character, wheee~
