    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Game » consists of 30 releases. Released Nov 11, 2011

The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.

How many hours will Skyrim consume on your Thanksgiving weekend?

I currently have 54 hours into the game as of last night, but now I have 4 days off, so I expect that number could easily double as long as my wife doesn't make me help with any cooking. I'd like to possibly beat the main campaign, but I may just keep wandering randomly from one point of interest on the map to the next, clearing out caves and spending half a dozen lockpicks to obtain 6 gold and a pair of Shoddy Leather Gauntlets. In a moment of stupidity, I paid 500 gold for a dog last night, only to have him killed by a dragon 2 minutes later just outside of Marketh.

Any big, elaborate Skyrim Thanksgiving plans? My condolences to those who will be traveling for the holidays and may not have access to the game. That's why I don't talk to family outside of my house anymore. Well, that's not why, but it helps.

    Zero,

Let me break down Skyrim for you.

Do you see that DIAMOND on your compass? Just run in the direction of that diamond until you come to somebody and then either click A on them or kill them.

    Great game design.

This is the MOST BORING GAME I have played in a long time.

    Try League of Legends instead...

Wish I could... have had to put it under lock and key with programming deadlines coming up... and traveling all day to visit family on thurs :(

In a couple of weeks though.... going to barricade the room, and then play until I get every last drop of content out of it, or it red rings my 360 ;-)

Already a good 6 hours at least. Grinding out every side quest I have so far and then going to plow through the main story. I want to save some stuff for after the main quest so I can actually use all the crap I get from it though.

Probably 20+ hours if I don't get too burned out from lack of sleep. I'd like to try out the new Minecraft release but SKYRIM.

Probably not much. I'm gonna be working on a script which is my Screenwriting 101 final. Not fun. But hey, I live in Canada so it's a normal weekend. I'm kinda jealous that my mother's goin' to KY for thanksgiving and I'm not though. Haven't seen the US family together in a while.

I'm thinking it's time for a road trip.

All of them. Skyrim will consume all of them. I mean, who needs to eat, right?

Because having people scream at you and berate you is fun. When an integral part of the game is so bad (the community), I find it pretty hard to call the game good, and I'm especially not going to recommend it to others.

Also, fun fact: In LoL you both click on them AND kill them. You do the same thing every match: Kill. Kill creeps, kill towers, kill players. Trying to call one game repetitive and then using LoL as a counter-example was a mistake.

Probably not a lot. I'm kind of getting burned out. I have completed the Thieves guild, and the Dark Brotherhood, I'm about a third of the way through the main quest and the mages guild, plus I have done a ton of other stuff, but now that I have seen all the landscapes and towns, ect., the weakness of the game design is starting to show. The game is really repetitive. Run to dungeon, clear out dungeon, get loot at end of dungeon, talk to so and so, quest completed. Even the DB wasn't that great. "Go kill these guys." Meh. I've heard a lot of people say the Thieves guild is the highlight, and if so that kinda sucks. Skyrim is still probably my favorite game this year, and I've put like 40 hours into it, but the quests need a lot of improvement. I don't know if I can bring myself to finish the Mages guild, the Stormcloak/Imperial thing, and the main story if they are going to be more of the same. For now I'll take a break and revisit the game in a week or so.

Not really sure, but at least 10 hours. I just recently picked up Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, and Star Fox 64 3D. I have at least 50 hours in Skyrim so far and whenever I feel like I'm getting burned out I just play another game until I get the urge to play Skyrim. It's really hard to play Zelda at the moment since all I really wanna do is play Skyrim, but I don't wanna play it too much and get fed up with it.

After 60 hours of Skyrim I started playing Assasins Creed Revelations. Finished that today so now I'm ready to play through Saints Row 3 with a friend, probably going to start Zelda after that. Then I'll go back to Skyrim.

League of Legends is a lot of fun when your teammates are not a bunch of collected idiots. Hate to say it, but for some reason MOBA games like League of Legends has the worst community in any game I had the displeasure of being in.

Last night playing Dominion - my "teammate" says "Wow my team is all a bunch of noobs no one is doing anything" and then we won... also he was the worst person on the team going 4/15/3

OT: A LOT, I just started the Thieves Guild quest line and my personal favorite The Dark Brotherhood. Loved it in Oblivion, expecting to be 1000 times better in Skyrim and so far it is not disappointing.
