Lots of really small details in this video, which make me really excited! The public execution looked especially gruesome and gave me a very sick, sadistic squeal of joy.

Why does it show the same video twice...
But yeah, that killed some excitement. A lot of the shown areas there looked really bland and muddy, and it could have just been a Divinity or Risen video for all id have known.
Apart from the water, nothing jumped out at me as being special.

I'm not even that excited for this game, and I respectfully disagree. Looks gorgeous.

Yeah you're right: the aurora borealis, fire and steam effects, foliage, dynamic shadows and lighting all look really bland and muddy. You need to be reminded of how shitty Divinity actually looked
I can't wait for two things:
- This game
- The PC modders making this game look and play even better after my first playthrough.

After watching the entire beginning of the game that was leaked online, disappointing is the way I would describe it.
(no story spoilers below, just my feelings on the technical side of the game from what I could tell from a 720p youtube video)
- Animations are as bad as ever. I know it's a Bethesda tradition, but come on, characters were sliding all over the place, running looked stiff and janky. It doesn't ever come close to looking natural.
- Combat is silly. Enemies don't even react when you strike them with a sword or axe. Nothing. It's like attacking a training dummy with a styrofoam mallet, and then it falls over. The VATS-like finishers are also completely out of place, and look pretty bad.
- Textures are really low-res. I know it's the 360 version, and big open world blah blah, but I would have expected a decent improvement over Oblivion on consoles. I didn't see it.
- The game freezing for 3 solid seconds whenever it's autosaving while in mid-combat or sentence. Kills the immersion.
Remember these are all opinions of a guy who is crazy in love with the Elder Scrolls franchise. I have 1000/1000 gamerscore on the 360 version of Oblivion, and have hundreds and hundreds of hours played in Morrowind and Oblivion on the PC.
