Lol. I started the game hoping to be some super hot dark elf chick. When I saw that wasn't going to work I tried the same theory on Wood Elf. Alas, in the end, I chose a female Nord, and she is quite attractive. Also, I thought it was quite appropriate seeing as how I am in the land of the Nords.

I'm not one to question Techno Viking.

My first PC happens to be a Nord, but I think it is just as reasonable for the dragonborn to be of any other stripe.

There is a book about the Dragonborn in the game. Anyone can be Dragonborn, it is a gift from Akatosh. 
 
If you play a Nord in Skyrim, it's understood you're from Cyrodiil.

My blades say otherwise.
