Khajiit, only because they apparently excel in sneaking. Don't care much for their night eye skill.

#3 Posted by SMTDante89 (2541 posts) -

Unsurprising Nord choice here. Going for Khajiit next playthrough.

#4 Posted by Master_Funk (728 posts) -

Khajit because they look cool as shit in this game

#5 Posted by Stahlbrand (835 posts) -

Nord first (CW, CG, MQ). Khajiit second (TG, DB).

Will do a Breton mage or an Imperial sword'n'shield next, but first back to my Nord to collect the rest of the Daedric artifacts.

Argonian.

I felt obligated by a sense of guilt to choose a nord. Not choosing a nord seemed....wrong.....

Dark Elf. Was initially turned off by how severe they looked, but I managed to fiddle with it enough that he basically just looks like Dr Orpheus with war paint. Then I slapped a hood on him and I haven't seen his face in 100 hours.

Still on my first play-through and i'm using a wood elf :D

Like in every other Elder Scrolls game: Dunmer. Resist to fire is always helpful, and Beth changes Ancestor's Wrath skill every time, so I wanted to see the new version (which is not as useful as it was in Morrowind, but still better than Oblivion one). And destro-assasin is a great build :)

High Elf for magicka boost.

#12 Posted by Chemin (632 posts) -

Nord. Boring, I know, but it felt right. I feel right at home, literally. Will be rolling a few more characters before I'm done with the game though.

#13 Posted by Slaker117 (4835 posts) -

Khajiit. I wanted to play a stealth archer dude and didn't like the look of the wood elves, so it seemed like the best choice. Racial abilities are kind of pointless though.

#14 Posted by snowballingblood (52 posts) -

Imperial only because my first characters in Morrowind and Oblivion were also Imperials, so I guess I like my first playthrough to kind of echo them. Haven't started my second yet, but I'm thinking either Dunmer or Khajiit... probably Dunmer.

Redguard, it made sense when I thought about it on the character screen.,,

#16 Posted by Cameron (595 posts) -

Redguard for me. I like sword and shield combat. If I play through it again I'll probably go with a Wood Elf marksman.

#17 Posted by Vodun (2370 posts) -

Wanted to be a sneaky archer, so wood elf felt like the way to go.

Wood Elf. Stealth archer. I've been pretty happy with it.

Thank you for quelling my inner grammar nazi.

I rolled a Dunmer. They have a good balance between destruction and stealth. My preferred Elder Scrolls play style would be described as Rouge Battlemage.

Oh, is your character female or a transvestite?
#22 Posted by Tim_the_Corsair (3065 posts) -

Oh, also playing a Breton Necromancer who only uses summoned weapons or staves when he isn't spellcasting.

No! You must be punished for this transgression! 12 licks from the cat's tail!

#24 Posted by Canteu (2821 posts) -

Always be Khajiit. I always play a stealth ninja cat first, so is my custom with Bethesda games.

#25 Posted by chrissedoff (2075 posts) -

Man, why are the two coolest races (Orc and Redguard) tied for last place?

#26 Posted by MideonNViscera (2257 posts) -

I picked woof elf but I totally should have picked the cat thing again.

#27 Posted by TheDudeOfGaming (6078 posts) -

Dragon Shouts work only if you're a Nord/Orc/Redguard/Imperial, otherwise it's just weird. So yeah. Nord.

#28 Posted by jkuc316 (981 posts) -

Surprising number of Khajiit here. I didn't care for stealth, but the hand-to-hand claws made me pick a Khajiit.

#29 Posted by Revixe06 (38 posts) -

Nord

#30 Posted by mikey87144 (1649 posts) -

Red Guard. Couldn't get the Nord to look the way I wanted him to look.

#31 Posted by BlinkyTM (1054 posts) -

Breton because it said you find more gold :P

#32 Edited by fetchfox (1217 posts) -

I picked an Orc. In my opinion the males look the most bad-ass and suits my playstyle.

#33 Posted by Rusputin (75 posts) -

High Elf. Original plan was to become the next Gandalf, so five levels worth of mana at the start was hard to pass up.

#34 Posted by wubb (277 posts) -

High Elf for the magicka benefits.

#35 Posted by beckley205 (310 posts) -

High Elf cause I lost a bet.

#36 Posted by SgtSphynx (1241 posts) -

I always roll Wood Elf on my first playthrough of Elder Scrolls games, they make great thieves and assassins. Thinking about rolling Khajit on my second playthrough so I can punch Dragons.

#37 Posted by Mahonay (828 posts) -

Imperial. If I could go back though I probably would of gone with Nord.

#38 Posted by xyzygy (9870 posts) -

Argonian, because they look awesome and they are the closest thing to an actual Dragon of all the races. So I thought that having an Argonian Dragonborn fit nicely. Also, I love exploring underwater and they're great for sneaky builds.

#39 Posted by fox01313 (5061 posts) -

Went dark elf for my sneaky/archer/mage for the first one but picked nord (named sonja the red) to go play around with more of the fighter side as well as try out other things earlier to see if it's easier than following the main story around level40 (thief guild & dark brotherhood gave lots of level progression with great gear).

Given those two options, I'd say he's a tranny. Definitely not female.

#45 Edited by elcalavera (341 posts) -

A Khajiit with an awesome beard 'cus that is cool as shit.

#46 Posted by Bam_D_Leprechaun (795 posts) -

had to start with a Nord, buy for the xbox my main is my Brenton Nightblade

for the PC will be a Khajiit

#47 Posted by UnrealDP (1220 posts) -

Orc and then I changed his name to Ork.

#48 Posted by Saethir (353 posts) -

Argonian stealthy assassin. It only seemed fitting that the Dragonborn actually look kinda like a dragon. The Argonians look badass in this game for once.

Next playthrough will be Nord Thor though.
