The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
Will Skyrim have ladders ?
If you build your game so it doesn't need ladders, then it's not a problem if you don't have any. I played Morrowind and Oblivion for dozens of hours each and never even noticed it didn't have ladders.
I don't know, but I don't really care one way or another. It's something I never noticed until Bethesda started talking about why they don't have them. It'd be cool if they fixed it, but I'd rather they spent their time fixing other issues with the engine.
My father was a ladder, and he passed away recently... so I hope there aren't any in Skyrim. Don't want those stark reminders.

Will Skyrim have Snakes?
You simply cannot have Ladders without Snakes.
No you can't have snakes and planes without Samuel Jackson.

If not I won't play it.

Maybe you only get ladders if you buy the game new
Ladders will not be in the game at launch, but they've been confirmed as one of the first DLC options. Later DLC will add the ability to purchase armor for your ladders.

You......you're right.....I can't believe....all this time I didn't know.....Ah fuck it. I rule. =)
I think it's been at least a year since I have climbed a ladder in real life. Just give me some elevators and escalators in skyrim.
Not a big fan of ladders in Dark Souls either. You kill those gargoyles and see a beautiful bell tower. Then they spoil all that atmosphere by making you climb that majestic bell tower on an endless, ugly, rusted ladder... Yes. I seriously was thinking that at the time.

@Ravenlight: But are the ladders already on the disk ?
Parts of the ladders will ship on-disc. The rungs will be streamed directly from download servers to your platform of choice upon purchase, though.

@Ravenlight: Is there a price difference between the animated ladder skins and the static ones ,can the ladder skins be applied to dragons at no additional charge ? And can you buy all the ladders in advance and get 15% off ?
- Bethesda is currently working on a few Ladder-related promotional tie-ins. For example, you can get a code from Subway to unlock the Leopard-Print Ladder and a Skylanders Ladder is also in the works.
- A Ladder Pass will also be available to unlock LP ladders as they become available. These Ladders may be purchased piecemeal as well.
- Animated Ladder skins will be available on a separate pass but will not be available a la carte.
- Certain Ladders will be console-exclusive, with the PS3 getting Argoniladders, 360 with Bretonladders. and the PC with Nordladders.
- As the Nukeladder will not be made available in Japan, the HelloLadder will be a Japan-only exclusive.
- Do not confuse genuine Ladders with the similarly-named Bladders that are affiliated with Mojang's Scrolls. These are of inferior quality and are not available in Skyrim.
Sure Skyrim will have ladders, only they'll act as doors to fantastical loading screens. I'm more worried about the jell-o jiggler corpses as a result of my devastating attacks.

@Ravenlight: But can the ladder skins be applied to dragons and if so will they cover the entire dragon or will it look like a ladder tattoo ?
Apologies, that was only part of the press release.
- Dragonladders will be unlockable through achievements after the player has purchased any Ladder pack or redeemed a Ladder code.
- Dragonladders will replace all dragons in the game. As such, there will be an infinite number of Dragonladders.
- Dragonladders are powerful Ladders containing the soul of a dragon. They will spawn dynamically in the world and interact with NPCs and other monsters.
- When defeated, the player will be able to absorb Dragonladder souls to unlock powerful Laddershouts. Bethesda has not released any more Laddershout information at this time.
- To configure Ladders, players will sign into LadderLeague(tm). Ladderleague is the new ingame Ladder store which will be accessible through the ingame Ladder menu.
- An internet connection will be required for all Ladders. Players who do not have an internet connection will still be able to play the base Skyrim game, however all Ladder-related content will be disabled.

@Ravenlight: If Iv'e played other bethesda games can I join the bethesda ladder club in order to receive special ladder skins ?
You can join the Zenimax Ladder Club and receive* exclusive RAGE, Fallout, Dishonored, and Shinji Makami ladder skins.
*You must have purchased these games to receive skins, in the case of Shinji Makami, you have to purchase him, too.

Wait, so if I put the ladder on the skylanders portal I get to use that ladder ingame and level him up?
